It has been two weeks since the fight at the high school. They closed down the school to allow things to die out.

Of course Miguel was sitting in the hospital, still in a coma. Robby was running from the cops and expelled from West Valley High. Partially it was Amara's fault, but she didn't care. Robby knew what he did was wrong even before he did it.

Amara was putting her chromebook in her bag when she heard her phone start to buzz. It was Hawk, calling her.

“Hey, babe.” She said, answering it.

“Hey.” Hawk said, “Do you want me to come pick you up? I'm fixing to pass your apartments?"

"No, it's ok." Amara said, "I'm fixing to head out the door anyway."

"Oh ok." Hawk spoke. "Any words from your dad?” He asked.

Amara sighed as she zipped up her bag. “No. To be honest, I really don't give a shit anymore.”

Once Johnny figured out that Amara was working with Kreese and she had told him that he was a pussy, the two barely spoke. It's been a one word conversation, usually every day.

Johnny was so hurt that Kreese took his dojo and with the situation with Robby and Miguel to the point that he was drinking his feelings away, except that wasn't working very well.

Amara’s mental health wasn't good either. She was filled with hatred and anger. She wanted nothing more than to fight.

Amara felt her phone buzzing on her ear. She pulled it away and saw that Jeremy was calling her.

“Hey, I got to go. I'll see you at school.” She said, as she hung up on Hawk and answered the call. “Hello?”

“Amara, I have been trying to contact you for two weeks. What the hell were you thinking?” Jeremy said, over the phone. “Getting into a fight on the first day of school? Are you kidding me?”

Amara sighed. “Yeah, I know it was a dumb idea. I should've never done it.”

“No, you shouldn't have.” Jeremy said. “I heard about Miguel on the news. How is he doing?”

“He’s still in a coma.” The blonde girl told him.

Jeremy cleared his throat. “Well, I'm sure he is going to be ok. That kid’s a fighter. What does Johnny think about all of this?”

“Well, right now he's pissed off at me because I'm working with Sensei Kreese at the dojo.”

“Wait, I thought he left?” Jeremy asked.

“Oh, yeah, he did.” Amara told him, “But he came back unexpectedly. So after the fight I went over there and started working with Kreese.”

“Now, why did you do that?”

“Because Dad was being a pussy. Ever since his little buddy Bobby died he gave us this shit about showing mercy.” Amara said, “Well that's what Miguel did and you see where that got him.”

“Yeah. Amara, I still think you should try and talk to him.”

Amara scoffed. “Yeah, right, like that's gonna work. He can come to me if he wants.”

Jeremy sighed. “Listen, just be careful, all right.” He told her. “I mean it. I already had a talk with your counselor about potentially doing therapy for you.”

“Yeah, ok, whatever. I gotta go.” Amara said as she hung up the phone. She zipped up her bookbag, grabbed her car keys and walked out the door.
