It was a rare, peaceful afternoon, and Fell, Ink, and Horror were hanging out in the park. The sun was shining, casting a warm glow over the grass, and the air was filled with the soft sounds of distant chatter and laughter. The park was crowded with people enjoying the day, but for Fell, Ink, and Horror, it felt like the perfect moment to escape from their usual chaos.

Ink sat on the grass, scribbling away in his sketchbook, while Fell leaned against a nearby tree, content to soak in the sunlight. Horror, usually a walking storm of intensity, was a little more at ease today, tossing a ball from hand to hand with a smile on his face.

It was a rare sight to see the three of them this relaxed, and Fell couldn't help but feel thankful for it. Maybe it was because he didn't have to worry about his brother, Edge, or anyone else trying to drag him back into the mess that was his life. For now, it was just peace.

"So," Fell asked, his voice casual, "How's the art coming, Ink?"

Ink didn't look up from his sketchbook, but a grin tugged at the corners of his mouth. "Getting there. I think this one's gonna turn out great."

Horror smirked, tossing the ball one last time before catching it. "Yeah, sure, you say that every time. But I'll take your word for it."

Fell laughed, enjoying the rare sense of normalcy between them. Everything felt... easy.

But that peace would soon shatter.

Edge's POV:

Undyne had been the one to notice the trio first. She had spotted Fell from a distance, and though she wasn't sure if it was a good idea to approach, her protective instincts had gotten the best of her. She didn't trust Horror, and she sure as hell didn't want Fell hanging out with someone like him.

The moment Undyne saw them, the protective warrior in her flared up. "What the hell is he doing here?" she muttered, her eyes narrowing on Horror.

Edge, who had been walking beside Undyne and Toriel, stopped and turned, following her gaze. His brother, Fell, was sitting with Horror—of all people—laughing, as if there was nothing wrong with the situation. He didn't even notice them yet.

"What?" Edge asked, trying to understand her sudden shift in demeanor. "Who?"

"Him," Undyne snapped, pointing at Horror. "What is he doing here with Fell? After everything that guy's done..."

Edge's eyes flicked to the trio, his frown deepening when he saw them so relaxed, so carefree. Horror, the man who had hurt so many, was laughing and playing around with his brother like there was nothing wrong. His blood boiled.

"That's it," Undyne said, her voice laced with anger. "We're going over there."

Before Edge could respond, Undyne started walking toward them, her face set in a determined frown. Edge followed reluctantly, a knot of unease growing in his stomach.

Toriel, noticing the tension in the air, sighed and followed them, her heart heavy with the knowledge of what was about to unfold.

Fell's POV:

Fell didn't see them coming. He was too busy enjoying the quiet, the rare peace between him, Ink, and Horror. When he heard footsteps, he assumed it was just some park-goers passing by, but then he heard Undyne's voice, sharp and angry.

"What the hell do you think you're doing, Fell?"

Fell's body tensed. His eyes darted toward Undyne, and then he saw Edge and Toriel following behind her. His stomach twisted. Not now...

Undyne didn't even give him a chance to respond before continuing, her voice laced with irritation. "Are you seriously hanging out with him? After everything that guy's done? Have you lost your mind?"

Fell's jaw tightened. He stood up, moving to place himself between Undyne and Horror, though he could feel his heart rate picking up. "Undyne, back off."

But Undyne wasn't backing down. She crossed her arms, staring at Horror with distrust and a level of hostility that made even Ink look up in confusion. "No, I'm not backing off. You're hanging out with a guy who's eaten humans, who has no respect for anything, and you're acting like it's all fine?"

Fell could feel the tension rising. He wasn't going to stand by and let Undyne lecture him like this. "You don't get to tell me who I can and can't hang out with. Horror's not the problem here, Undyne, and you know it."

Edge stepped forward, his usual calm demeanor replaced with barely-contained anger. "You really think it's okay, Fell? You're sitting here laughing and acting like everything's normal, while Horror—Horror—is right there? A guy who's done God knows what?"

Fell's blood boiled at the way Edge said it, like Horror was some kind of monster and Fell was too stupid to see it. He wasn't going to let Edge talk to him like that. Not anymore.

"Yeah, I'm laughing," Fell shot back, taking a step toward his brother. "Because for once in my life, I'm having a good time. But you wouldn't know what that feels like, would you? You've been so wrapped up in controlling me, you can't even see when I'm finally at peace."

Horror, who had been standing back and letting the two brothers clash, finally spoke up. "Listen, Edge," he said, his tone firm but not hostile. "You don't know me. You don't know what I've been through, and frankly, you don't get to judge me based on what happened in the past. Fell trusts me. That's all that matters."

Edge's face contorted with frustration. "Fell's too trusting. That's his problem. He doesn't see how dangerous some of these people are."

But it was Toriel who intervened, placing a calming hand on Edge's shoulder. "That's enough, Edge," she said softly. "This is not the way to handle this. Let's all just take a step back, and talk this through calmly."

Fell didn't know if he was angry or just tired at this point. He looked at his brother, then back at Undyne and Toriel. "Maybe it's you who needs to back off. I'm not your responsibility anymore, Edge. You don't get to control my life."

The words stung as they left his mouth, but it was the truth. He was tired of feeling like a puppet on strings, like his every move had to be dictated by someone else's idea of what was right.

There was a long silence, the tension hanging heavy in the air. No one spoke immediately, and the fight felt like it was hanging on the edge of a cliff, ready to fall into chaos.

Finally, Ink stood up and cleared his throat. "Maybe we should just all cool off for a bit," he suggested, his voice calm, trying to defuse the situation.

Fell shot him a grateful look, but the damage had already been done. Edge was glaring at him, Undyne still looking furious, and the uneasy feeling in the air wouldn't be so easily brushed away. This day, which had started with peace, had turned into something much more complicated. And Fell wasn't sure where it would lead from here.
