When someone references The Princess Bride but others think it's Gravity Falls

Person: "I am looking for the six fingered man." Lol I love that movie/book.

Me: Omg me too!

GF Fan: Uh there's no Gravity Falls movie or book.

Me: *proceeds to smash face on the wall*

A fucking member of the GF fandom is saying this. Not only that but a DEVOTED member.

I love Gravity Falls but there's a movie/book that had a six fingered person in it that was a piece of art. Yeah, it came out when my dad was a kid.

That's just really annoying to me.

Again, love Gravity Falls, but get really annoyed when someone can't tell if it's Princess Bride or not.

My brother does this, and this kid is annoying on his own. Not with this though, but much worse.

Bro: *sees Teen Titans GO! commercial* TITANS! ATTACK ON TITAN! (he's nine and is able to read)

Me: NOT EVERYTHING IS A REFERENCE TO SOMETHING ELSE AND YOU KNOW THAT!!! (It especially pisses me off because I used to LOVE Teen Titans)

I just really needed to vent.
