When you run into a group of people, doesn't matter if you met them or not, and overhear them talking about a fandom you're in so you charge in like "I FOUND MY PEOPLE." And then you all instantly become friends.

When you find out your friend is in the same fandom as you and you never even knew. You just bring it up and they're like "Oh I like (fandom) too." and you stare at them in a state of "How the fuck did I not know?" and "Can I marry you?"

When your friend dislikes a/multiple fandom(s) you're in and you have that internal debate as to whether or not you should still be friends.

When you say you like a certain fandom but say one small thing that you aren't too big about and everyone goes batshit insane. (For instance, if the most popular ship is like, two guys and you say "Oh it's alright, but I think I like (boy and girl) better." Then everyone gangs up and tells you it's bad and you should feel bad. Doesn't even matter if any of them are gay or not.)
