One thing Mia was completely aware of was that Roger was a monster. She was relieved that finally, she'd escaped his clutches and she was free to live her life. The scars that had been created by his manipulations ran deep however and Mia was still picking up the pieces. Something that bothered her deeply was the fact that Siobhan was still trapped, held hostage by the man who was supposed to love her. While Mia didn't know the blonde particularly well, she did recognise that hopeless look in Siobhan's eyes and she felt desperately sorry for her. She was watching Siobhan die, little by little as the hands that should have held her did nothing but hurt her.
Mia happened to be aware that Roger was away for the evening and as such, Siobhan was to spend the night alone. Roger made sure to track her whereabouts via her phone, so the blonde had no choice but to stay in. Mia and Charlotte always discussed everything and now, they were both concerned about Siobhan. They'd agreed between themselves to pay her a surprise visit and offer her something very special. Roger had absolutely no idea how to be gentle or loving and for one night at least, Mia and Charlotte both wanted to comfort Siobhan. They wanted to show her that she had the right to decide what was done to her body, and she deserved to be treated softly.
That evening, once Siobhan had settled herself on the sofa, she began to flick through the television channels, eventually deciding to watch Grease. She'd bought herself some chocolates and rose lemonade, usually Roger didn't allow her to have these little treats. They were her favourites, but seeing Siobhan enjoying anything seemed to infuriate Roger. The blonde felt tears threatening to fall as she began to eat her chocolates, she didn't understand how her life had come to this. The only thing she felt was exhaustion and no matter what she did it simply wasn't good enough. When she heard a knock at the door she panicked slightly, wondering if Roger had sent someone to check up on her. She rushed over to the front door and as soon as she saw Charlotte and Mia, she frowned.
"What?" She snapped, prompting Mia to smirk as she took a step forwards. "We thought you might like some company" the red heads voice was measured as she walked past Siobhan, pulling Charlotte along with her and leading the brunette into the lounge. Siobhan hurried after them, immediately feeling embarrassed as the two women saw the treats she'd bought for herself on the coffee table. She watched as they sat down, before Mia gestured towards the blonde "come on Shibs, sit down." Mias eyes were surprisingly soft as she added "you don't have to sit here alone all night." As Siobhan sat down between the two women she wanted to feel irritated, but she realised that she was glad they were there. She was so sick of feeling so desperately lonely, perhaps tonight she could allow herself to feel like someone who was worthy of attention.
For a little while, Mia and Charlotte chatted to Siobhan, they spoke to her gently and eventually, the blonde began to visibly relax. Charlotte had started to rub her sore lower back and despite herself, Siobhan found herself leaning into the brunettes touch. Mia was stroking Siobhan's hair as she began to ask about the way Roger treated the blonde. Siobhan's body language told Mia and Charlotte everything they needed to know when she flinched at the mere mention of his name. As Mia wrapped her arm around Siobhan's waist she asked "is this okay?" Only proceeding when the blonde nodded. Siobhan felt slightly exposed, she was only wearing her silk nightdress and a thin matching gown, but she felt confident that Mia and Charlotte weren't going to judge or belittle her.
Charlotte had never seen Siobhan like this, she suddenly seemed so small and vulnerable and it was breaking her heart. Long before Roger had got his disgusting hands on Siobhan, the blonde had always been prickly. As she felt the way Siobhan was leaning against her, the brunette wondered if the blonde had always been at war with herself, denying what would truly make her happy. Despite that, she'd always had a fire behind her eyes but now all that remained were the embers, desperately flickering as Siobhan tried to hold on. Her defences were completely down as she sought comfort from the two women who were now holding her as if she was precious. She knew she wasn't, Roger made sure to tell her she was worthless each and every day, but sometimes it was nice to pretend.
