Two weeks before AllSing began, AOII held a mandatory chapter meeting led by their advisor, Mrs. Porter. A no-nonsense woman with decades of tradition running through her veins, Mrs. Porter was infamous for her unyielding expectations.

"Ladies," she began, standing at the front of the chapter room, her voice sharp enough to cut glass, "AOII has always represented the highest standards of morality and grace. We   don't want to lower the bar for every sorority on this campus. And it is your responsibility to uphold those standards."

Olive sat at the head of the table, her posture perfect, nodding along.

"I shouldn't have to remind you that we value tradition," Mrs. Porter continued. "Anything that strays from that—anything that could damage our reputation—will not be tolerated. Last semester, we had to remove a sister from her leadership position after she was caught in... an inappropriate relationship with another woman."

The room tensed. Whispers rippled through the sisters, and Olive's stomach turned.

"It was a hard decision," Mrs. Porter said, her tone clipped, "but we have an image to maintain. AOII is not the place for that kind of behavior."

The word hung in the air like poison. Olive kept her face neutral, but inside, her heart raced.

"This is your reminder," Mrs. Porter concluded, her eyes sweeping the room, "to think carefully about your actions. You are representatives of this chapter, and I expect you to behave accordingly."

As the meeting ended, Olive's sisters buzzed with gossip, but Olive stayed quiet, the weight of Mrs. Porter's words pressing down on her.

"Can you believe that girl?" one sister whispered. "How embarrassing."

"Good thing they kicked her out," another added. "What if people thought we were all like that?"

Olive clenched her jaw, ignoring the sting of their words. She couldn't afford to think about it—not now.
