Killian Accardi

It's taking everything in my well-being not to snap as the girls explain what's been going on so far.

"How about we start when Race was the one who drugged you and took you to a random white room in the hospital – that no one had any idea about – and tested you as if you were some type of experiment animal in their palm skim." Solana just about says as she rips the bandaid off the arm. We all look at her with blank expressions.

"So, you couldn't take it any harder?" Lisa crossed her arms at Solana.

"Nope." Solana's tight lip smiles. I know she doesn't like me, and I don't like her, but after time, we would have to get along if we were a part of my girl's life.

Lisa rolls her eyes and fans her off. "Anyways, I had suspicions about him since I got hired. One day, I was sneaking around because my suspicions grew on me, and I found out it was him because of a video I sent to Solana not long ago. The voice of the mysterious guy that drugged you sounded so familiar and funny. So, me being the sneaky genius I am. I dived deeper."

I cocked an eyebrow at Lisa.

Lisa sighs. "What I found is Race is disgusting and evil. Race, most of the time, harasses, kills, and poisons most of the patients and most of the girls. He is sick in the minds of most who are working with him, and his only goal is to make money. Now I know that Race might be working with the boss."

I don't bother to speak and let the girls continue talking. Deep down, my heart was pounding with fear and anger. I know there is more to what the girls are saying, but I don't want to listen anymore.

"Same. I did the same and found out more." Solana chimes again, pulling her phone out again. "The day when Maya asked me to look more into what happened to you. I couldn't. But it wasn't until one day the Boss wasn't in, and I took that chance to walk into his office. I found nothing at first on his laptop, but when I was ready to close his laptop, something caught my eye in the corner of it. I clicked on it to reveal Killian's real files from when he was fourteen and checked in."

Maya senses the anger vibrating in me and wraps an arm around my neck, petting my shoulder softly while cooing soft words in my ear. I continue to listen while this beauty of mine calms me down. I don't need medicine if Maya is my medicine.

I don't know what I would do if Maya had never been in my life.

I still would be the same Killian.

"What did you find in the files?" I question, holding Maya's body tighter to me. I have a feeling this isn't going to end well.

"Nothing much for a while until I came across your family's history." Solana continues to explain. "Did you know that your family has been going and funding that place since nineteen – forty?" Lisa gasped next to me at the news while Maya's eyes widened a little.

Now, this is all news to me.

"No." I mean my family is rich, but to know they've been funding something so evil makes a cold shiver run down my spine.

"Well, now it is." Her tight lip smiles before moving. "But anyways, when The Boss tricked Maya into getting Killian's life, he meant things like security codes, address, and so much more that could put the Accardi family to shame. And the funny thing is this has happened before, and I don't think this will be the last."

"You're telling us that the same people of Killian's family have been going through this for years?" Maya whispered with a cracked voice.

Solana nods with a hum. Her facial expression is blank as a sheet of paper like the rest of us minus Maya. My girl huffs a little, shifting to get comfortable on my lap.
