Maya Aseal

"Shane, why are you here?" I whispered to him, standing in front of Killian whose fists are clenched. He was close to punching him when he saw me open the door.

"Solana called me." He answered calmly, eyeing up and down Killian.

Shane and Killian happen to be the same height while also having blank faces.

Man, I have a type.

"And who's this?" Shane whispered down in my ear. Killian growled, snatching me away from Shane. I gulped when Shane let himself in and looked around. A small smirk ended up on his face when he spotted an old picture.

"Did Maya tell you that I was her ex?" Shut up!

"No," Killian hissed, gripping my hips harder. His voice is dark and raspy. I see jealousy with anger mixed into his eyes. "And who are you anyway?"

Shane turns around and runs his hands through his fluffy hair. See that he grew it out over the years after the navy.

"Shane. Shane Payton." He walks over to us, holding a hand out for Killian to shake. The man who stands behind me with a pain-taking glare before taking in his. The handshake was hard. Tensions sit between them while I stand in between the two big giants.

"Killian." He grits under his breath, taking his hand back and wrapping his tatted huge arms around my neck. I smile sheepishly to Shane who shrugs with a chuckle.

When me and Shane dated he would do the same as Killian is doing now. The only difference was that one of them didn't leave me without a goodbye while the other one did. One didn't try to kill me and I still loved them while the other one did.

I seriously need help.

"Shane, did Solana tell you why you should've come?" I pat Killian's forearm for comfort as his chest vibrates with a deep growl. "And why are you at my house.."

He hums slowly, shoving his hands into his pants pockets. "Yes, and why I'm here is because....I'm sorry." I nibbled my lip, knowing where this was going. "And I know it's stupid to say after all these years but Maya I'm sorry I left you with a goodbye and left Solana to pick you back up."

"You did what?" Killian growls.

Oh no!

"Kill, baby, it's fine." I turn in his arms to cup his face. He stares Shane down but I grip his face down to me. "Kill, it's fine." He growls a little before stepping back to walk to the room. Once the sound of the door closed, I turned over to Shane with crossed arms.

"You couldn't wait to meet up or something?!" I hissed low.

"No, and how was I supposed to know you had someone new? Maya, it's been years." He stepped up to me with a low voice like me. "Look Maya please just listen to why I left....please."

I nibbled my lip and nodded.

"Okay," He huffs. "I left without a goodbye because it would have pained me to see your pretty face cry and I didn't want to join the navy like that. I'm surprised that Solana remembered it after so many years. Maya, we were just only starting to be adults and I was still processing things in the process. So, I'm sorry." Shane rushes with a pleading tone. I huff knowing that I could never be mad or blame him. We were just starting to become adults with issues on our own.

"You could have called at least," I whispered, placing my hands to the side fiddling with the ends of Killian's long shirt. It smells like him.

"I know but that didn't cross my mind at the time." He sighed, scratching the back of his neck sheepishly.

Silence falls between us for a while until Shane speaks up again.

"Are you happy with him?" Shane nods his head to the side indicating Killian who's probably listening to us as we speak. "Does he make you happy?"

I nod. "Yes."

"Okay," He smiles softly. "In that case, I'll help you take down these people named Race and the Boss...?" His tone sounded more like a question when he said the guy's name. I chuckled and nodded. "Okay, yeah those two then."

"Thank you for coming though. Didn't think you would come." I smiled up at him.

"Neither did I but Solana being the little stalker she is, found me and sent me your address." He chuckled at the thought, pulling his phone out to show me. I take the phone and read the little threats she threw at him and some words that shall not be said.

"Wow.." My eyes bulged. It just keeps going and going until my address. "You barely had a chance to respond." I gave him back his phone. Shane smirks and shakes his head.

"I let her get out. I mean I was lucky that she didn't press the call button." He shoves the phone back into his pocket.

Killian soon comes out of the room and grumbles under the lines he's still here. Shane heard it and smiled at him trying his best to make Killian snap. One thing about Shane he'll make you hate him at first before turning to make you like him at the end.

Killian flips him off from the kitchen and I can't help but giggle softly.

I turned back to slap his abs.

"I'm sorry," He chuckled softly. "But when do we start?"
