Thankfully, I arrive at the bottom of the hill that leads up to my house without Link bothering me too much. He did try to kiss my cheek from the back seat. I told him to stop... but he wasn't listening, so I had to kind of push him away while still driving.
I am now pulled over a little before the gates of my house... far enough to where the guards won't see me. I unbuckle my seatbelt and turn to look at Link in the back seat— who is just sitting in the seat behind me twiddling his thumbs.
"Link."
"Yes!" He looks up at me excitedly as if he was waiting for me to talk to him.
"My house gates are just up ahead. In order for you to stay at my house and not get kicked out by the guards is for you to stay low. Just stay down on the floor, and stay hidden."
"Okay." He says... still sitting in his seat.
"Get on the floor."
"Why? Are we gonna get spicy?" He says, pronouncing spicy in a bit of a drunk, seductive way.
"No. You need to hide from my guards." I roll my eyes.
"Oh, that's righ now?"
"Yes." I say trying to keep myself calm. "That's why I said my house gates are just up ahead."
"Ohhhh. Okay." He says as he struggles to unbuckle his seatbelt. Once he eventually gets it unbuckled, he slides down onto the floor and sits down- his legs spread open, and his head leaning against the car door. He looks up at me with a drunk smile and brushes his bangs back with his fingers... only for them to fall back into place. You know, if he wasn't so cute when he's drunk I could actually be mad at him. I'm definitely irritated by him right now, but not mad.
"Just stay down there and don't make a sound." He just nods and then stares at his lap.
I pull away from the curb and start to drive towards the gates. Once I reach the front gates and press the gate opener. I slowly start to drive through them, avoiding the gaze of all my guards.
Cado taps on my window. I stop and, and roll down my window.
"Zelda, you took a bit longer than I expected." He says, looking at me as though he knows I'm hiding something.
"S-sorry. I was talking with Impa and Purah for a bit. We were discussing the plan for homecoming tomorrow. They said I might have to pick them up." I say nervously. If Link is staying here, either I will need to pick up all the stuff he needs for homecoming, or I will have to take him home. The second option would be better.
"That's alright. I just wanted to make sure you stayed safe."
"I did. Thank you Cado." I hate lying to him... but if I tell him about Link, he's going to tell Father.
Cado lets me go, and I drive up my driveway and up to my house. I put my car in park, turn off the car, unbuckle my seatbelt, and step out of the car. I go to unlock the front door, and then I walk back to my car and open the back door for Link.
"Come on. We need to get you inside."
"Gotchaaa." He says as he starts to get up from the floor and gets out of the car. He tries to walk to the door, but then he almost falls over.
"Am I going to have to help you inside?"
"Maybe." He says, as he lets go of the car door and starts to walk further. He starts to lose his balance again, and before I know it, I'm rushing over to catch him. My hands catching him by his armpits... his face falling onto my chest. He looks up at me and smiles. "You're very pretty from dis angle." I push him off of me, and have him hold onto my shoulder. He may be taller and heavier than me, but somehow I'm holding him up. I walk him to the door, open it, and then lead him inside. We step into the foyer, when he lets out a loud gasp. "WOAH THIS IS YUR HORSE?"
