Knight Terrors

chapter fourteen. (a serpents return)

Siobhan was happy, she moved into Vivian's house after their trip and Jamie loved her to pieces. Their home felt complete and full of love always, it was all new to the blonde. Jamie would ask Siobhan to read to him every night which she did without hesitation, the pair would build forts and eat snacks whilst watching films waiting for Viv to get home from work on her late shifts. Shibs had never really considered being a mum but life with Jamie was better than anything she could have expected. She loved the young boy and it was obvious he loved her too.

One night when Siobhan was on nursery collection duty she decided to walk up to the office to say hello to Marjorie while she dropped off a reply slip. The blonde walked in and overheard a conversation between one of the parents and Autumn, she was pregnant. The way she had revealed this to the parent she was talking to was definitely done not because she wanted to but to shock the parent after whatever they had said prior. Autumn watched as the embarrassed woman she was talking to ran off in a hurry smiling with undeniable pride.

Aut span round when she heard "congratulations" said from behind her. Siobhan was there wearing her usual dark outfit yet she looked different to how she had when Aut had last seen her, Vivian's top was certainly a new addition to her wardrobe. The blonde looked well, her cheeks had a new found colour in them and her eyes were bright and full of life.

The blonde looked her in the eyes "seems like I got out at just the right time. Being a grandmother was certainly not on my 2025 bingo card" Siobhan stated while being completely unable to hide her smile.
Autumn looked at her and smirked "seems you did, although I am somewhat disappointed that i'll never get to see you in the role of evil stepmother" Siobhan looked back at her, her head tilted slightly "evil, no. But you'll still get to see me being a stepmother. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go and collect Jamie"

Autumn couldn't help the smile that spread across her face, she knew exactly what her father was like and was so happy that Siobhan had managed to get away before it was too late, before they were legally bound.
Jamie ran to Siobhan as soon as he saw her telling her that he'd been drawing that day before running to go and get his art out of his drawer. Siobhan had no idea what she was about to see, a picture of her, Jamie and Vivian was shoved into her hand by the excited four year old stood in front of her. Her heart felt full as she took his hand and led him out the building, getting him in the car and driving to their home.

When they arrived home Siobhan remembered she had bought a picture frame while in the cotswolds she ran to grab it and put her step son's art into it before placing it front and centre in the living room. Once Vivian was home she took her hand and dragged her to see it, Viv smiled knowing how much this meant to her partner. The brunette took the photo Jamie had drawn of her and him down and ran upstairs putting it on her bedside table, this wasn't a family of two anymore and it wouldn't be ever again.

Siobhan truly believed she had won the lottery, she was the luckiest woman alive. She truly had everything she could've ever wished for.
