Jiang Fan listened carefully to Xu Guangyuan's question and immediately realized the mistake he had made.

"Senior Guangyuan, the issue lies in the uneven coating of the nano-graphite particles. Graphite has a certain degree of adsorption, and when its molecular structure is misaligned, it affects its conductivity and thermal properties..."

Upon hearing Jiang Fan's explanation, Xu Guangyuan and the others finally understood the root cause of the problem.

At that moment, Xia Xiaoyu and Niu Xu also approached Jiang Fan with further questions, which he answered thoroughly.

Just then, Old Long noticed the commotion and walked over. After Jiang Fan had finished explaining to the others, both he and Long sat down.

"Professor, here is the sci paper I wrote on nanomaterials," Jiang Fan said, handing over the stack of papers.

Long studied the thick stack of data with great satisfaction before beginning to review it.

Xu Guangyuan and the others, upon hearing that Jiang Fan had written an SCI paper, were immediately stunned and gathered around to see it. They had all heard of SCI papers, and many professors at Long University had published them. They knew the level of quality required for SCI publications.

As students, few were willing to dedicate their time to submitting SCI papers, as writing one required immense effort and expertise. Only those with unique insights into specialized knowledge could have their paper accepted.

However, if a student could publish an SCI paper, it would certainly be a huge asset for their future scientific career.

What surprised Xu Guangyuan, Xia Xiaoyu, and Niu Xu even more was the fact that Jiang Fan, a first-year student, was already considering submitting an SCI paper. They were curious about the topic of his paper.

They all craned their necks to read the title on the paper in Long's hands: A Discussion on Nanomaterials.

It seemed like a fairly conventional topic.

The first section was titled: "Basic Concepts of Nanomaterials." Nanomaterials refer to particles with a size on the nanometer scale, ranging from 0.11nm to 100nm...

This section was basic knowledge that students majoring in materials science, like Xu Guangyuan and Xia Xiaoyu, would have no trouble understanding. It was fundamental information, easily searchable online.

The two exchanged a glance, a look of mild disdain in their eyes. Although Jiang Fan was good at research, they felt that this paper was rather subpar. If this was the standard of Jiang Fan's work, they would immediately submit their own papers to SCI!

They were almost certain that this paper on nanomaterials would not even pass the preliminary review.

Long flipped through the early sections of the paper quickly, mainly looking for any obvious errors. After a brief glance, he found that Jiang Fan had made no mistakes and, in fact, had provided an impressively comprehensive summary.

Soon, Long reached the second section: The Properties of Nanomaterials. Nanoparticle structure and characteristics—small size effects—surface and interface effects—macroscopic quantum tunneling effects...

At first, Xu Guangyuan and Xia Xiaoyu were able to understand the content, their expressions tinged with amusement. But when they reached the part on macroscopic quantum tunneling effects, their faces grew serious.

Many of the terms Jiang Fan had used were completely unfamiliar to them.

They were top students at Long University, now in their senior year, having nearly completed all their specialized courses. They considered themselves well-versed in nanomaterials, despite lacking hands-on experience. Yet the professional terminology Jiang Fan used was something they had never heard of before.

This left them utterly astonished.

They began to doubt whether Jiang Fan had made an error, but Long's expression remained unchanged, calm as always. He had not circled any unfamiliar symbols with his pen, a habit of his when correcting mistakes. This signaled that Jiang Fan's paper was free from errors.

Xu Guangyuan and Xia Xiaoyu exchanged another surprised glance. This time, it was filled with astonishment.

They continued to the third and fourth sections, followed by the fifth and sixth sections.

Nanomaterials such as nano-metallic materials, nano-semiconductor materials, and nano-composite materials were discussed. These were topics they had studied in their courses.

However, as they proceeded, they encountered terms that were beyond their comprehension.

Self-driving liquid metal, point-controlled nano-sensors, artificial nanoretinas...

Though these terms still seemed somewhat normal, they continued reading, only to be baffled again when they came across terms like choke coils and saturated reactors.

Once again, they exchanged stunned glances, this time unable to make sense of the content.

An hour later, Long finished reading the paper, his mind swirling with amazement. His eyes were filled with shock. If this paper were published, it would undoubtedly serve as a guiding force for future research in nanotechnology.

This paper did not just summarize current nanotechnology on Earth; it seemed to be more about the future of nanotechnology and its development directions.

Long sat in silence for a long while, slowly regaining his composure.

"Jiang Fan," Long said, his voice filled with awe, "Are you... from the future?"

Jiang Fan's heart skipped a beat. Had he inadvertently revealed something? He thought carefully, but couldn't think of anything amiss.

Seeing Jiang Fan's nervous expression, Long couldn't hold back his laughter.

"I'm just joking, hahaha..."

"Jiang Fan, your paper on nanomaterials is of immense value, especially the sections on future nanotechnology and applications!"

"You've really surprised me again! At this rate, I'm going to end up with a heart attack, haha!"

"Professor, are there any areas we need to revise?" Jiang Fan asked.

Long thought for a moment before replying seriously.

"This paper needs major revisions."

Xu Guangyuan and Xia Xiaoyu were taken aback. They turned to Long with questions.

"Professor Long, you just said Jiang Fan's paper was excellent. Why does it still need major revisions?"

Long glanced at the group and slowly replied.

"I'm recommending revisions to focus on the technologies and future developments, removing anything that cannot be realized in the short term."

At that moment, Xia Xiaoyu was the first to react.

"Professor Long, I understand now! You're worried that the technological advancements and future development directions could be discovered by other countries."

"You've finally caught on! Hahaha..."

Long turned to the group with a more serious expression.

"You're still young, the future pillars of Long Country. But remember, science and technology have borders!"

"Only by ensuring that scientific advancements remain within our own nation can we protect ourselves from foreign threats."

"We keep these technologies confidential not to harm others, but to safeguard ourselves."
