⋅⊰ BANGCHAN⊱⋅"Okay, so I just need to come up with a way to convince Mei that dropping everything and going to Seoul for two weeks is no biggie," Hannah's voice emitted through my phone's speaker as I swiftly changed each article of clothing, switching from a button-down and slacks into my next stage's wardrobe.
Huffing out a laugh, I adjusted my belt around my jeans as I responded. "Why would it be hard to convince her? Does Mei not find me as charming as I thought she did?" I lightly joked as I hung the former attire over the hangers from which I got my new wardrobe.
Hannah sighed dramatically at my lame joke. "It's not that. She can't afford to just go on spontaneous trips like we can, so her first thought is gonna be money and panic," she explained.
"Of course I'd take care of all that. It was my idea so it's only fair that I pay for whatever she needs," I answered in a tone that made it clear I still didn't see a problem here.
"Yeah, I know, that's the thing- Mei hates feeling like she's a burden in any way, so even if it's no problem for someone to pay for her, even if they offer, she'll refuse," my sister explained.
Humming out a sigh, I paused in changing my clothes as I pondered this. "Okay, so... Either we kidnap her-"
"Yes. I'm in."
"Or..." I enunciated so as to keep Hannah focused on the seriousness of the topic. "We trick her and then ask for her forgiveness later."
"Mmm, I like both. Can we do both? No, that's crazy. Or is it just crazy enough to work?" Hannah replied rapidly, her exhiliration clear with each word that erupted from her.
Laughing a bit, I shook my head and began gathering my things and the hanger of dress clothes before picking up my phone and holding it between my shoulder and ear. "Okay, so just ask her if she'll be able to take two weeks off, and if not, then maybe one week," I began as I opened the dressing room door and my stylist immediately relieved my arms of the clothes I held. "If she says yes, then I'll buy the tickets and you just tell her you took care of it and she can pay you back- but I'm not gonna let her do that. Just do what you need to do to get her here."
