Viktoria only glared at Evie before deciding that she had enough of the spa day. "I think I spent more than enough time down here. I don't want to waste another second sitting around, arguing with someone from a different country; not when I could be using this time to start getting ready for the dinner tonight. Rumor has it that the bride and groom will be revealed at the dinner. I don't want to look anything less than a proper woman of my status and wealth. Word of advice Evelyn, I wouldn't waste too much time down here enjoying the spa day. You could use the extra time to get yourself ready. It will hide that you aren't as wealthy and had to rely on a long-lost cousin to fly you all the way to England to attend this extravagant wedding." Viktoria climbed out of the pool, grabbing her robe and walked out of the room before Evie could respond.

Lucy shook her head at the way Viktoria treated Evie. "Please excuse Viktoria. She comes from wealth, and from my understanding, she's always used to getting everything she wants. She's having a bit of a tantrum, because she asked someone who is working the event, about the bride and groom; and she didn't get the answer that she wanted. So now Viktoria is having a bit of an attitude problem with everyone around her. When she gets like this, it's best to ignore her and go about your day like she didn't snap on you."

"Oh, trust me. I have every intention of ignoring your snob of a friend and her pathetic insults that she tries to throw my way. Besides, I don't want to be kicked out of this wedding. I have attended a little gathering watching everyone mingle. I have even come down here for a spa day. I have every intention of attending tonight's dinner. Hopefully Nicolette will be at the dinner, so I can tell her how rude Viktoria was. Hopefully Nicolette will keep her cool and not lose it on Viktoria tonight. I don't want Nico to be the reason we get kicked from the wedding," Evie said.

"You don't have to worry about that. The Lord of the manor seems to be an understanding man. He wouldn't just throw you out based on what Viktoria tells him alone. I'm sure he would come to speak to you and get your side of things, and see who started the problems between you and Viktoria," Lucy said. "Don't let Viktoria get under your skin. She gets sick satisfaction from ruining everyone else's day if she's given the chance to do so."

"Thank you for the heads up about that. Has she always been that much of a stuck-up bitch," Evie asked.

"Only around people that she doesn't feel comfortable around. Once she becomes comfortable around you, and she considers you to be a friend who is trustworthy, and that you aren't out to hurt her," Lucy explained. "She has taken me under her wing when I had no friends here to talk to. Though when she first met me, she treated me as bad as you, but she would tell me quite often that I would never make friends. But she finally stopped and is now my only friend and she likes it that way."

"Then Viktoria may not be happy that you are being so friendly with me," Evie said.

"Oh nonsense. I don't think Viktoria hates you. She just doesn't trust you yet. I'm sure she will learn to be friendly with you before the wedding," Lucy said.

"Only because after this wedding, I will be returning back home with my friend with Nicolette, who I know your friend hates more than she hates me. I believe that if your friend was given the opportunity, your friend would kill my friend, and send her back to America in a body bag," Evie said.

"Don't worry. Nobody will be leaving in body bags. Let's enjoy this wonderful spa day. It won't take us all day to get ready for the dinner tonight," Lucy said.

"Hopefully Nico will be at the dinner tonight," Evie said more to herself than to Lucy.

Nicolette woke up stretching, before being pulled back into an iron grip, keeping her close to prevent her from getting up. "I see you're awake."

"I am. I was woken up by your movements. Did you think I was going to allow you to walk away from me that easily? Did you think that you would be able to walk out of here, find your friend and leave? Because I can tell you right now, Evelyn would want to stay until the grand event of the festivities, which takes place tomorrow. Oh, she will be surprised tonight, when she finds out you're the lucky bride," Walter said.

Nicolette closed her eyes trying to keep from allowing the tears to flow. She knew that what she had to do, even if she didn't want to; she had to do anything and everything that she could to keep Evie safe from being stuck in England.

"I assure you that I had no intentions of running away. I was only stretching. We do have to get up out of bed at some point and make an appearance. People will grow suspicious if we don't. Evie will grow suspicious and come looking for me if she doesn't see me today," Nicolette explained, hoping that she was getting through to Walter.

Walter only rolled his eyes. "No one is allowed down to my chambers. And if I must, I will work my charm to put your friend at ease. Besides, the two of you will be seeing each other at the dinner tonight. So, there is no need to be attached to your friend, Evelyn all the time."

"Will I get the chance to talk to Evie without any of her family interrupting us, or you interrupting mine and Evie's conversation? Or will you decide that Evie and I have spent enough time talking with one another," Nicolette snapped at Walter.

Walter grabbed Nicolette by her neck, causing her attitude to disappear quickly. "You will keep your attitude in check. How I deal with you is my business. Don't forget my love, you belong to me. So, I will deal with you how I see fit. It would be wise to keep that in mind when you get the sudden urge to give me an attitude again. Now, I will leave you to pamper yourself and get yourself ready for the dinner. I have the dress that you are to wear in the closet for the dinner tonight. I have some things that need my attention before our celebration dinner tonight." Walter then got out of the bed, getting ready before walking out of the room.

Walter walked down the hall making his way to the main part of the house, where he was greeted by Oliver.

"What do you need Oliver? Don't you see that I have more important things to worry about, other than the issues that you are facing," Walter said in a bored tone.

"I just wanted to know if what I hear is true. Are you going to call off the wedding to my darling cousin, Evelyn? If that is the case, then what are you gonna do about the lavish wedding that you had planned," Oliver asked worried about what would happen to the original plans for Walter to marry his cousin Evelyn.

Walter glared at Oliver for asking that personal question. "What makes you think that I owe you any explanation as wo what I plan on doing when it comes to my wedding? Do you think you are owed an explanation?"

"I only ask, because I would hate to see a perfectly good wedding go to waste, if you don't go through with the wedding to Evelyn. Not to mention, both Lucy and Viktoria would grow suspicious," Oliver tried to explain.

"I plan to go through with my original plan before I met your damn family, Viktoria and Lucy. I will help Lucy adjust to a new life. As for Viktoria, I'm sure she will find someone more suited for her. As for Evelyn, she will be free to go back to her home country...without her friend Nicolette. Nicolette is to remain here by my side."
