How are you guys?  Today, I'm going to be going over the different types of skin and how to properly care for your type of skin.  It's helpful to know what your skin is so that you actually have an idea of why things are happening and how to fix it.

Oily Skin

Characteristics: Your skin is often shiny throughout the day, you get acne or pimples frequently, and you have visible/large pores.

How to treat your oily skin: Mix egg whites with the juice of half a lemon (ish) and mix it.  Apply this to your face and leave it on for at least 15 minutes.

Dry Skin

Characteristics: Your skin appears cracked, your pores aren't visible, or you have red patches.

How to treat your dry skin: Avocado and honey mask (I wrote the recipe in the last chapter), and moisturize your skin everyday.

Combination Skin

Characteristics: Your pores are overly dilated (they look pushed in), you have blackheads on your skin,  and your skin is shiny on your T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin area).

How to treat your combination skin: It really depends on if your skin is more dry or more oily, because you can care for your skin different ways.  Just make sure you use a light, sun protective moisturizer and you exfoliate at least 4 times a week.

Normal Skin

Characteristics: Your skin has very little imperfections (blemishes, no large pores, no blackheads), you're not severely sensitive to any products, and your complexion is over all radiant.

How to treat your normal skin:  Keep going with your normal routine, unless you notice that there are things that don't work for your skin.  These can cause your skin to overstimulate or can strip your skin of necessary oils.

Now that you know what type of skin you have, make sure that you research the best ways to properly care for it.  Remember, every skin type needs to be moisturized and properly protected from the sun.
