Hey everyone! Today, I'm going to be talking about something that sounds pretty unusual: vinegar for the skin. If you don't like vinegar or the smell, you're not alone, just know that there are multiple amazing benefits when used on the skin and hair.

What you can do with it:

1. Facial toner; mix 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and 2 cups of water, and use a cotton ball to spread on your face, don't wash off (the smell will go away and skin should feel firmer and tighter)

2. Hair rinse; mix 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with 1 cup of water, and douse your hair with it after washing. Rinse thoroughly and wash with a light conditioner

3. Bruise healer; soak a cotton ball with apple cider vinegar and secure with a bandaid, leave on for an hour

Why it works:

Vinegar is known for its acidic qualities and alpha-hydroxy acids, which stimulate circulation in the skin and minimize the appearance of pores. The reason why the facial toner makes skin feel tighter, is because of this. Because vinegar as acetic acids, it removes residue and product buildup from hair, and makes it shiny and soft. The anti-inflammatories in vinegar increase circulation and healing in skin, which makes it perfect for injured skin and bruises.

Side note: I've noticed that apple cider vinegar doesn't smell as bad as regular white vinegar. If it's too much for you, use apple cider vinegar. This can also have more health benefits, since it's not that acidic.
