Hey guys!  As per request, I'm going to be giving you the recipe for the hot oil hair treatment that I use religiously.  My mom actually started doing this to my hair when I was about 9, and I've been using this oil treatment for years now, so shoutout to my mother.

Hot Oil Hair Treatment

Ingredients: Coconut oil, almond oil, olive oil (or look at the list of substitutions I have), cinnamon powder, and argan oil

1. Mix all the oils together in a small bowl.  I use 3-4 spoons of coconut oil, 1 spoon of almond oil (the almond oil and argan oil are mixed together in the treatment I use, but you can buy each one separately), about 1/2 a teaspoon of cinnamon powder, and 2 spoons of argan oil.  I only put in a little bit of olive oil, because using too much too frequently can cause early grays.

2.  Warm this mixture up in the microwave for 15 seconds or until it's to a temperature you're comfortable with.  Apply it to your hair and actually massage it into your scalp, so that the cinnamon can boost the circulation of your strands.  I leave it on overnight, but you can wash it off at night if you leave it on for the whole day.

Side note: The quantities that I used in this recipe are for medium length hair like mine.  Feel free to add more or less depending on how long and thick your hair is.

Substitutions: If you have finer/thinner hair, use rosemary oil or pomegranate oil.  If you have wavy hair, stick with the sweet almond oil.  If you have coarse hair, try avocado oil.  If you have thick hair, use the olive oil (but try to keep it at a minimum, like I said), and for just any type of hair to improve it, use rice bran or hemp seed oil.  Remember that these substitutions are for the olive oil, so instead of that you can use any of these.

Warning: This mixture is pretty oily, so if you decide to use more oil, just be careful.  It may look like only a little in the bowl, but trust me, you'll have extra.  Let it sit in your hair before you touch it, because your hands will definitely be oily.
