Us girls were trying to figure out how we are going to do our hair and makeup, when we finally found what we were going to do we started getting ready; the first one done with makeup and hair was mia. When we all got done with that stuff, it was time to get in our dress but I just realized that I didn't get to go dress shopping so I don't have a dress. " I can't go," I said. To which all the girls turned to look at me. " what are you going on about of course you can, that's why your makeup and hair is done," Lia said. " Yeah but I don't have a dress to wear. I didn't get to go shopping," I said. " Oh honey yes you do have a dress it actually should have been here by now," Alessia said. " You bought me a dress?" I asked. " I didn't buy it-," she was saying but got cut off by a knock. " Come in" Sia said. " Sorry I'm late with the dress for Rose's," a maid said. " It's alright but can you please tell the guys it's time to get ready," sia said. " Yes ma'am and I will tell him that Rose likes the dress?," the maid asked as she looked at me. " Yes please," I said. Even though I don't know who he is, it could be Antonio or Enzo or one of the other guys. " alright" with that the maid left. " ok so who got me this beautiful dress?" I asked. " Oh we can't tell you that," Mia said with a giggle. " If you don't know then you will have to figure it out now; get dressed," Lia said.
Time skip (to the ball)
When we got to the place it was so beautiful it was like it was out of a movie. after a while i found Lia talking with some girls who I've never seen before, " Hey Rose, come here," Lia said. So I walked closer to them " hi" I Said. They all greeted me back. " Ok so this is Missy, Ares, River;Ashly," Lia said. "Nice to meet yall" I said. " Girls, this is Rose," Lia said. "Nice to meet you too" they said. I could tell that two of the girls were more shy but the other two were outgoing. After a while of talking with them I went to get a drink, I stayed by where the drinks were for a while. I was looking around when I saw Leo with another guy walking over to me. " Hey Rose, I have someone I would like you to meet," Leo said. " Hey Leo I would like to meet this someone," I said sarcastically. " Rose this is William William this is Rose" Leo said. "Hello there Rose, you are very beautiful, " William said. As he kissed the back of my hand. " Hello William thank you, so how do you know Leo," I asked. " We work together sometimes, how does a beautiful lady like you know Leonardo," William asked " oh he is my best friend Cousin," I said as i looked at Leo . " Oh so you two are not a couple?" William asked. " no" me And Leo said as one. " Ok I get it anyway I'm going to go talk with some of the others; have fun," William said As he walked away. After a while of me and Leo standing in Awkward Silence he asked me if I would like to go look for the others so we are currently looking for the others when we finally find where they were. We all talked for a while. Then Matteo asked Lia to dance so they went to dance then the others followed " Would you like to dance," Leo asked out of nowhere. "Sure why not, it's better than sitting here," I said as I stood up. As we walked to the dance floor we started dancing to one of my favorite songs, torn by Nathan Lanier. I leaned my head on his chest as we started to sway to the music, I don't know why I did that. I feel safe with him but I can't like him because he is a mafia boss. I can't be with another guy like that but why cant I leave? Maybe it's because of my father. As the song came to an end I pulled apart. " I will be back, I have to use the girls room," I said then walked away. I had to get away from him for a little bit. On my way back from the bathroom I bumped into someone. " Oh I'm so sorry I wasn't watching where I was going," I said. " It's ok, are you Rose by Change though? " the guard asked. " yea who's asking?" I asked. "i was told to give you this," he said as he handed me a note and walked away. Hmm that was weird I thought to myself, I then looked at the note in my hand to read. * Certificate of marriage; this certifies that Leonardo Ricci and Emily Smith are united in marriage on the day of December 5th 2022. Signed Leonardo Ricci and Emily Smith. When I read that I felt my whole life come crashing down on top of my shoulders . This can't be true right? But then why does it have Leo's handwriting on it? I have so many questions but I don't have any answers for them. I go back to the bathroom to check my makeup. It was still fine so I went back to the table where my friends were . How do I bring this up? I don't know so I will just pretend like nothing happened until I know how to handle this situation. " Hey Rose, are you ok?" Luca asked. " yea I'm just tired, when can we go home? " I asked. " After the dinner we can leave, but we can't leave because Leo has to talk with the American boss after the dinner," Luca said. " Oh ok" I said. This dinner needs to hurry up so I can go home and be away from everyone but mostly my father and Leo; that's other than how do I tell my father if this is true?. After a while the food finally got brought out. " This food is good," Lia said and everyone agreed with her. " So Rose, how was the dance with Leo?" Mia asked. Can we not talk about this, especially him? I thought. " It was a dance," I said in a bored tone. "Oh ok" she said. After that I zoned out. Why did he hide this is the truth?. Why did he seem surprised when I told him my mom could still be alive?. I need to figure this out. Should I move out of the house? I thought he liked me but apparently he is married to my mother. That just hurts to even think about that being true. Does that mean they talk right ?. It said they got married in 2022. That was two years ago. I was brought back to the real world when I felt a hand on my shoulder. "hey you ok" said the voice. The voice I didn't want to hear. Leo's hand on my shoulder. " yea I'm fine". I said in an annoyed tone. " Ok, after we talk to William we can leave" he said. " Do I have to talk to him? My feet hurt," I said. " Yes, because he wants to ask us something, and we will go home after," he said. " Ok fine but can we hurry? ,"I asked. "Yeah sure," he said. So we go to find William, " There you two are, I was beginning to think y'all had already left," William said. " Yeah,well I was stuck talking with Mrs Edison,you know how much she loves to chat with anyone," Leo said. " Oh Betty Edison, how is she? I didn't get the chance to talk with her," William said. "She is alright, she is missing Mr Edison but she is doing better," Leo said. " Alright sorry to break this up but what did you want to ask us?" I asked William. "Oh yes, would y'all like to have lunch with me before I leave to go back to America?" He asked " sure" Leo said before I could answer. " Alright then I will see y'all Saturday at let's say afternoon?" He asked."that sounds good," Leo said. "Alright then it was nice to see y'all again," William said then walked away. " Can we leave now?" I asked. "Yes we can, the others are already in the cars," he said. I nodded. On the way home the car ride was quiet but I was kinda happy about it.
