52 life or Death

Enzo's pov

It’s been a few days since we were assigned bodyguards. I was asleep but woke up when I heard my door quietly open, footsteps walking in and then the door closed. I heard footsteps walking over to my  bed, then I felt someone got in my bed and  curled up next to me .

“ Did you have another nightmare?” I asked as I  rolled over to Cuddle up with Missy  more.
She  nodded her head.

“ Alright, do you want to talk about it?”  I asked.
“No,” she said.
 
  “ Alright, try to get some more sleep, it's still too early to get up” I said as I  was falling back asleep. 
She has been having nightmares for the last week, one night she woke up  and was walking around the house. Luckily I was up that night, I told her if she had any more nightmares she could come to my room. We talked to Georgie to see if it was the medicine but it wasn't.
I must have fallen back asleep because I woke up to Missy crying.
    “ Missy, why are you crying?” I asked as I rubbed my  eyes.
“I can’t lose you” she said through tears.
  “ you won't lose me, what are you talking about?” I asked as I wiped her tears away. Are the nightmare about me getting hurt?
“Promise me I won't lose you” she  said.
“ you won't lose me, but what's wrong?” I asked. Why did you tell her that you know with this type of work you don't know what's going to happen, the voice in my head said.
“ I keep having the same nightmare where we both get shot,” she said.
    “ Oh sweetie, you know that even if we do get shot we will be alright, but that shouldn't happen alright” I said. So that's why she has been staying close to me.
“I-i can’t lose you, nid, Leon, mom or dad I just can’t lose y’all” she said as she buried her face into my chest as she started to cry again.
    “Shhh you won’t lose us” i said as i wrapped my  arms around her and held her close to me,  I then  put my chin on her head. I wish what I said was true but with the. Mafia anything can happen.
“B-but what if the nightmare comes true and one of us dies? Or if we both die?”  She asked in between sobs.
           “ It won't come true, we are going to live a long life, you don't have to worry about anything alright?” I asked. I really hope it doesn't happen.
“I don’t want to lose you, I love you too much to lose you” she said.
    “You won’t lose me or anyone, I love you too” I said as I hugged her closer to me.
“Hmm you can’t control the future, anything could happen” she  said.
“ I understand that but you just have to have faith and hope that nothing will happen,” I  said. Because that's what I'm doing.
“I know but it’s difficult sometimes,” she  said.
“I know it is, how about  we go make breakfast for everyone?” I asked.
“Sure,” she said.
Once we got to the kitchen we made coffee.
“I have almost burnt the house down so I might burn the food” Missy said.
“ it Alright you can't be any worse than Matt, he has burnt water, like how the fuck do you burn fucking water” I said Remembering the time Matt was trying to Learn how to make pasta.
     “He burnt water!,I might have burned a pizza but I have never burnt water,” Missy said.
“ See you just need some practice, so would you like me to teach you how to cook?” I asked.
“Yes!” she said excitedly
“ Alright, so your first lesson is on how to make donuts,” I said.
   “I’ve Never had a donut before” she said.
“Well today is the day you do,” I said.
   “Yay!, So what type are we making?” She asked, smiling like a little kid in a candy store.
“It's a family Recipe, mom said that it was her grandmother's recipe” I said as I got everything out that we would need for the dough.
   “ Alright, so first we make the dough, so we need to  warm the milk, then we mix the yeast and the sugar into the milk,” I said.
“Alright!” She said as she went to grab the milk from the fridge. After that  we mixed the yeast and sugar in.
“ Alright now we add the  flour, butter, eggs, and salt, then mix to form a dough” I said as I opened the flour, then as we mixed in the flour I dumped some on Missy's head.
“hey no fair! I’m going to get you back” she said as she grabbed some flour and threw it on me.
so I grabbed an egg then smashed it on top of her head. “ ha take that” I said then stuck my tongue out at her and ran away.
    “Come back here I’m going to get you!” She said as she grabbed an egg and ran after me.
We ran after each other until I ran into a wall, hmm funny I don't remember there being a wall here I thought to myself then I realized it wasn't a wall, I looked up to see Leo.
“ hehe hi” I said in a sarcastic tone.
“ what is going on here, why do you have flour all over you?” he asked as he looked at the mess in the kitchen.
“ahh about-” I was saying but got cut off by Missy throwing an egg, next thing I see is Leo with an egg on his face.
   “ Enzo, who threw that?”  Leo asked.
“ Missy,” I said quietly.
“ Missy,” he said.
“Hi,” Missy said in a soft tone.
