61 Like, Love, or Something in Between?

Zach's pov

It was the next morning,
I guess  I'm meeting my half-brother today.
It was about ten, so we had about  two hours until noon, I debated on if I should call and tell him but I think  I should just tell him in person.
I didn't sleep last night, I kept thinking about what I would say.
I went to the kitchen and grabbed a cup of water.
I think  everyone has started to get back to work and all. The house is pretty quiet today, so I'm guessing  most of them are out doing something or are in the game room.
“Hi,” Missy said as she walked in.
“Bonjour princesse” I said.
(Good morning, princess)
“alors tu parles français aujourd'hui, c'est chaud ?” Missy asked.
(So you're talking French today, hot shit?)
“Nein, aber ich könnte in verschiedenen Sprachen sprechen,” I said.
(No,but I could speak in different languages”
    “Huh?” She asked, confused.
“So you don't know German” I said.
    “I know a little bit but not much,” she said.
“ Hmm, what Words do you know?” I asked.
“Hündin, Hurensohn, Mutterficker, Arschloch,
fick dich, Scheiße, and heiße Scheiße” she said smiling.

“ so you know how to cuss in German, well  if we are going, we probably should go get ready, because If we want to be there by noon we have to leave in a little bit” I said.
“Yep I know how to cuss in a few languages, alright, I will go get ready, but before we leave don’t let me forget to tell nid I’m going out of the house so they don’t freak out” she said.
“ Hmm, it seems about right, alright and it's about an hour drive, alright” I said.
“Alright, be back in a little bit” she said as she walked out of the kitchen.
I also went to get ready, after about ten minutes I was ready, so I went to the living room and waited for missy.
I didn't have to wait very long for her to come to the living Room.
“Ready to go?” I asked.
“Yep, once I tell nid I will be back later, then we can go” she said.
“ alright” I said.
So she went to nids office then after a little bit she came back out.
    “It’s still not a date, nid” missy said as she walked out of the office.
“ Totally not a date, get her home before midnight” nid said as he followed her out of the office.
   “ ah, it's not a date, but okay,” I said.
I don't  think we will be gone that long.
“And keep her out of trouble and safe,missy don’t do anything stupid” nid said.
“Alright, we are going to go now,” I said.
“We will stay out of trouble, don't worry” Missy said.
We then went out to the Garage.
“ What car do we take?” I asked.
“We can take my jeep,” Missy said.
“ Alright, where are your keys?” I asked.
“Over here” she said as she went and grabbed her keys from the key holder that was by the  door that goes into the house.
“ Alright, give me please” I said as I held out a hand for the keys.
“What, you don’t trust me to drive?” She asked as she handed me the keys.
“ No it's not that, you get to be the Passenger Princess today,” I said as I opened her door.
“You know if nid is watching he probably is even more convinced that it’s a date” she said as she got in.
I shut the door then got in.
   “ what would you do if it was?” I asked.
“I wouldn’t complain, if it means I get to be a passenger princess” she said giggling.
  how about you  always be a passenger princess when I'm around? So you still. wouldn't complain?” I asked.
“I don’t know, I’ve never been on a date before, when I was at school no one really liked me” she said.
“ really?” I asked as I pulled out of the driveway.
They were Blind, I don’t see how no one could not like her.
“Yep, I was the weird quiet kid, I only had like four friends, which i only talk to two of them now, which is ares and Tommy, But we was all in different grades So we didn’t see each other much during classes, I stayed to myself at school I was never outgoing when I was younger I’m still not really outgoing with people I’m not really close with” she said.
“ There's nothing wrong with being the quiet kid, they are good friends, ohh, so are we close? Since you talk a lot around me?” I asked.
   “I guess there’s nothing wrong with it, just have to deal with the other kids making fun of you and not standing up for yourself, yeah they are good friends, they’re like family, yes I guess we’re close” she said.
“  Yeah I guess you have to put up with that, nice” I said.
So she sees  them as family so does that mean she doesn't like Tommy?
“Yeah, anyways new topic, what type of music do you like?” She asked.
“ Here, play the top Playlist, it's the one I use a lot” I said as I handed her my phone.
   “So this is the picture you got yesterday?” She asked.
“ ah maybe,” I said, fuck I forgot about that.
“Cute, send it to me,” she said giggling.
“ how when I'm driving? And don't have your number all but in the group chat ” I said. 
   “Send it to me later,I can give you my number later, there problem solved” she said
“or you could do it now and send it to your phone” I said.
“I guess I could, alright you now have my number and I now have the picture win win” she said smiling.
“ I could've had your number a while ago so” I said as I Shrugged my shoulders.
    “How would you have gotten it, and if you did then why haven’t you texted me?” She asked.
“ the group chat, I didn't know if you wanted me to, and  besides I never actually had it saved to my phone” I said.
“Uh huh, I probably wouldn’t have answered your message if you had because I probably wouldn’t have recognized your number,” she said.
“ See, that's why I never did,” I said. We still have about  thirty minutes until we get to the address, and the closer we get the more nervous I get.
  “Mmm, so after this would you like to go to lunch?” She asked.
“Ah sure, but I thought you told nid this wasn't a date?” I asked in a Sarcastic tone.
“Alright,  It’s not a date, it's just going to get food so we don’t die,” she said.
“ Hmm if you say so, but you made it sound like it was a date” I said in a  teasing tone.
“Who knows, maybe it is, maybe it isn't,” she said giggling.
“ Do you want it to be one?” I asked.
“Mm, well if it was a date then, nid would kill us for telling him it wasn’t and it ended up being a date” she said.
“ So is that a no? Or not today?” I asked.
“Not today,” she said.
“So how about next Saturday at Seven?” I asked.
   “Sure,” she said after thinking about it.
“Sure what?” I asked.  I want her to say it to make sure she doesn't change her mind.
“I will go on a date with you, next Saturday at seven” she said.
“ It's a date then,” I said.
Looks like I don't need that plan anymore.
  “It’s a date,” she said giggling.
“ Alright, looks like we are here” I said as I pulled into an apartment parking lot.
“You ready to meet him?” She asked.
“ I don't know, but I Drove all that way so I guess” I said as I got out of the car and walked around to missys door and opened it.
   “Why thank you kind sir” she said.
“ you're welcome, my lady,” I said.
We walked up to the apartment number that was on the paper, I knocked on the door.
“ hello?” He asked as he opened the door.
“ I think we have the wrong place, sorry” I said then turned to walk away.
  “ Are you nick?” Missy asked.
“ ah, yeah, why?” He asked.
Really missy why did you have to ask him that.
“ Good, this is Zachary Williams,” Missy said.
“ Okay so?” He asked.
     “ Missy come on, let's just go” I said.
“Zach, tell him or I will, we didn’t drive all the way out here for you to change your mind” missy said.
“Just leave it missy, I shouldn't have even told you” I said.
“Zach, talk to your brother and quit being stubborn” missy said.
“ brother? I don't have a brother,” nick said.
“ Really missy you couldn't just leave it alone, he doesn't even have a brother” I said I shouldn't have even told missy about him but here we are.
    “ he's your brother of course I couldn't, yes you do if you want  we can talk about it and explain” Missy said to nick.
“ are you my brother?”  He asked.
     “ Well half brother, but yeah, but if you don't want to talk so be it come on missy” I said.
“ Why did I never know? And why come find me now?” He asked.
“ I don't know why you never knew, I just  learned about you not long ago” I said.
“ah, I can't talk today, I have to get to work, could we meet up somewhere sometime?” He asked.
“ I guess” I said.
“ Alright, ah here's my number, we can text and figure out  when would be best, but I have to go ” he said then left.
“Ahh, you’re welcome I guess,” Missy said.
“ You're annoying, come on” I said in an annoyed tone as I walked away.
“Sorry, but it was then or never, and you weren't going to say anything, besides now you have his number and he said y’all would talk, if we just left then you wouldn’t have his number” she said.
“ Yeah sure, I wasn't going to say anything because he had that look of regret, yeah we will talk like he reached out, let's just go get something to eat then go home” I said.
“What do you mean by the look of regret?, where are we going to eat?” She asked.
“ He lied about not knowing about me, so why didn't he reach out to me?  I don't know  where you want to eat?” I asked as I opened her door.
“Oh, I’m not sure why he didn’t, I’m not really hungry, so if you want we could just go home” she said as she got in.
I shut her door then went and got in.
“ he doesn’t care about me that's why, you was the one that asked if we could stop and get food, so where do you want to go” I said.
“If you say so, let’s go to McDonald’s” she said.
“ Missy he probably has known for a while and he never tried to look for me, alright” I said in a Frustrated tone.
“Sorry, I should have left it alone,” she said.
“ no, you didn’t know, I'm sorry for taking my frustration out on you” I said.
I know to get a hold of my emotions I can't  let it out on her when she didn’t do anything wrong.
   “yeah but I should have left it when you told me to, it’s alright as long as you don’t physically hurt me I will be fine” she said.
“ You were only trying to help, I would never physically hurt you” I said.
    “I guess, I know you wouldn’t but sometimes you can’t control yourself when you’re angry or frustrated” she said.
“Yeah I know  i need to get ahold of  my emotions, I won't let that happen again” I said,
“Well I’m here if you ever need anything, even if it does happen again, I understand, I.  live with  people who have.    anger issues and a bunch of other stuff, so I understand.     that you can’t always control your emotions,” she said.
“ Alright, I mean  you  live in a  mafia house, what do you expect?” I said.
“I never said I didn’t expect it, or that I expected it to be happy all the time, everyone came from a broken background, so we help each other, even if we just sit with each other, and even if you don’t want my help I will still be there for you” she said.
