The dock was indeed the most beautiful place in town. The view of the ocean was impressive; boats and yachts floated nearby as the seagulls flew at the distance. The sun was preciously lying above them, making the day a warm one.

After shopping for some hours, Emma, Henry and Killian ate at The Jolly Roger, enjoying one of the best meals the Swans had ever tasted.

"What do you say we go for an ice cream? There's a place which has the best ones in the city" Killian suggested once they finished eating.

"Only if it has mint with chocolate ice cream" Henry said "That's my favorite"

"It has. And guess what? That's my favorite one too!"

The boy widened his eyes in amusement as he drew a big smile across his face.

"Really? Awesome!"

Henry and Killian shared a high five before laughing. Emma looked at them and smiled, she was spending quite a good time with her boys.

Suddenly, William Smee walked towards their table "Mr. Jones, sorry to interrupt. Someone's asking for you at the phone"

"I'm a little bit occupied. Who is it?"

"It's from the magazine"

"Magazine?" Emma asked.

"Aye. It's a restaurant magazine that wants to include The Jolly Roger in the next number. I'll tell you about it later. Do you mind if I leave you for some minutes? It won't take long, I promise"

"It's okay. Go" Emma said placing her hand on his forearm, gesture which Killian liked.

"Thanks. I'll be back" He stood up from the seat before walking away.

Emma then turned to Henry. "Having a good time?"

"Absolutely"

"Great" she made a pause before going on, putting a string of hair behind her ear "Can I ask you something?"

"Whatever you want, mom"

"What do you think of Killian so far?"

"I like him. He's a really cool guy. Besides, he has an amazing restaurant"

Both laughed.

"I'm glad you say so, kid"

After strolling through the beach,  Henry played with the sand near the water while Emma and Killian sat some feet away from him.
It was the most perfect scene anyone had ever seen. A couple seating at the beach with the soft sand underneath them and the sun hiding in the west, right where the ocean touches the sky.

Such a perfect moment had to be photographed, and the ten year old took care of that without they noticed.

"It's beautiful" Emma commented as her eyes sighted the horizon.

"I knew you'd like it. Whenever I feel stressed or sad I come here and watch it. This view soothes me, it's like... magic"

The seagulls were still making sounds at the distance as the waves crashed against the rocks and the docked ships.

"Indeed. It's quite calming"

"You know that I was once afraid of the ocean?"

"You? I hardly believe that"

"It's true. When I was five water used to scare me. But Liam taught me how to swim and sparked on my current passion for the ocean and sailing. He was a great big brother"
