Killian's POV
I heard a group of sirens at the distance as my eyes saw The Jolly Roger in flames.
Suddenly, people began to run out of the restaurant all coughing and covered with smoke. It was my staff. Some had gotten injured while others helped the rest to walk away from the burning place.
I spotted Smee and made my way to him."William, are you alright?"
"Yes" he managed to say after a couple of coughs.
I gazed around. I saw many faces, I heard many voices.
Except Emma's.
"Smee, where's Emma?"
"I don't know" he answered hoarsely "I last saw her in your office"
I turned to see the restaurant. The flames had grown and you could feel the heat they radiated from a long distance. I ran to the entrance only to be stopped by another explosion that made my ears hurt even more.
"Swan!!" I yelled desperately. She was in there. My love was there. I was scared, but I didn't hesitate to get inside and find her.
I covered my nose and mouth with a piece of fabric I found on the ground. My eyes looked for the office's door between those roaring flames that filled the place. It was getting hard to breathe, it was even hard to walk. But I was determined to save Emma, I was not leaving her. Most importantly, I was not going to lose her.
I felt the sweat running through my utter body as I finally made it to the office, which was all destroyed. One of the roof's joist had fallen down in the middle of the office, crashing literary the whole desk. I then caught sight of Emma lying on the ground right next to it.
"Swan!" I screamed before kneeling and shaking her shoulder. There was no answer, she was unconscious. The joist had probably hit her head and made her faint.
The heat was growing with each second that went by. I knew that in any moment the whole structure would collapse, so we had to get out of there. With all the strength I had left, I took Emma in my arms and carried her out of the office. The flames were criminal, it was really a hell in there. I felt the lack of oxygen in my lungs as my legs begged to stop fighting. It was too much. I felt I was going to die in any second, not being able to save my Swan.
But fortunately, life gave us a second chance.
Somehow, I managed to make it to the exit where a group of firefighters and paramedics arrived. They quickly helped both Emma and I as they placed her in a gurney and put an oxygen mask. They carried her to an ambulance, which was about to leave when I begged the paramedics to let me go with her. I must've had a rather desperate face because they allowed me to go with Emma. I hopped inside before the ambulance made its way to the hospital.
***
"Killian!" I heard a familiar voice calling me. It was Henry. I felt his little arms around my waist before I hugged him back. He was indeed worried about me, I could see it in his eyes.
Then I saw Robin and Regina running towards us."We came as soon as you called" Regina explained "Are you alright?"
"I am. I got some first degree burns but nothing severe" I said gazing at the bandages around my arms.
"And Emma?" Robin asked.
"I haven't seen her since we arrived here. The doctors took her to another room"
"Will she be okay?" Henry asked still embracing me. I caressed his head.
"She will, boy. Your mother is a survivor"
