"Look what I drew!" Little Caroline exclaimed as she held up a white paper filled with drawings. Killian and Emma looked at it and smiled.

"It's a drawing of all of us!" Emma exclaimed "It's beautiful, darling. You're such an artist"

Even though the girl was barely five years old she had amazing drawing and painting skills. Both of her parents knew she would become a great artist some day. After Caroline let out an adorable chuckle, Killian lifted her up and carried her in his arms.

"We should put it on the fridge, shouldn't we?" He commented caressing Caroline's hair.

"Absolutely" his wife replied. The three of them made their way to the kitchen as Emma placed the paper on the fridge with one of the colorful magnets.
In a matter of seconds Henry stepped inside the room.

"Hey, grandma just called and invited us to have dinner at Granny's. Want to go?"

"Of course!" Emma said quickly "I would never say no to a grilled cheese with-"

"Onion rings" Killian finished for her with a smile.

"You know me well"

After their honeymoon, the newly weds decided to move to Storybrooke and leave behind the noisy and complicated city of Boston. They bought a house with a pretty white picket fence close to Main Street and made their lives there with their two children.

"I'll send grandma a message and tell her we're meeting them there" Henry stated before taking his cellphone out.

"By the way" Killian said "Robin called last night and said Regina, Roland and him are planning to come next week and visit us"

"Excellent. Then they'll be just in time for Henry's sixteenth birthday"

"I feel pretty old" the teen exclaimed before the family let out a laugh.
Caroline ran towards Henry before hugging him. They were both really close; Caroline adored Henry as much as he adored her.

"Alright, we should be going. Your mother is already craving for that grilled cheese and I'm afraid of her biting me" Killian quipped.

"Then we should totally hurry" Henry said smiling "Come Caroline, let's grab our coats"

The two held hands and went upstairs.

"I'm not gonna bite you," Emma said "But I'm so doing this..."

She leant close to Killian and, pulling from his coat, dragged him to her lips. They drowned in each other's taste as their hands touched one another's skin. Finally, after a long deep kiss, he rested his forehead against hers.

"I love you" he told her with his gaze never leaving hers.

"I love you too" she answered giving him a quick kiss.

After some minutes Henry and Caroline returned, ready to go.

"Hey... Uhm, I was thinking that maybe I could drive to Granny's?" Henry said.

"The diner is only two blocks away from here kid, we can go on foot" Emma stated as she buttoned her daughter's red coat.

"I think it's a good idea" Killian commented "You need to keep practicing. Besides, these streets are easy to handle"

"Alright, alright" Emma accepted.

Henry and Killian exchanged happy looks before the boy whispered "Thanks Dad"

Henry began calling him Dad right after Killian and Emma got married. Plus, they both got along pretty well.
With that decided, the Jones made their way to Granny's, enjoying life and each other's company.
And who would've said that that beautiful life began by a causal meeting aboard a train?

A train that took Emma Swan to Killian Jones.

A train that took both home.
