The grand restort filled with laughter and lively chatter. Many guests had been invited, and the place was abuzz with excitement.

After all, the eldest daughter of the family was about to get married,a momentous occasion for everyone.

The Raichand family, renowned for its legacy, owed its success to our late grandfather.

He had built our company into a flourishing and well-established empire, admired by many and a source of pride for generations.

And… half of the company was going to be inherited by me, while the other half would be distributed between my two cousins.

I… I don’t understand why this discrimination existed. All of us deserved an equal share.

Chacha had a tendency toward alcoholism, and wasting money seemed to be his favorite pastime.

Because of this grudge, my late father had decided on this division of assets, ensuring I would inherit the larger share.

Tomorrow was my wedding, but my mind was blank. I sat in my room, both hands adorned with mehendi.

I stayed inside because I wasn’t feeling well. To be honest, everything felt odd—nothing seemed right or good.

After the engagement, everything about my wedding seemed to be going so smoothly.

Too perfect.

I stepped out onto the balcony, seeking some air. From there, I could see the wedding ground.

The mandap stood in the center, adorned with breathtakingly beautiful flowers. The decorations sparkled under the soft lights, creating an enchanting scene.

It was beautiful—almost surreal. Yet, something about it unsettled me.

A soft knock came at the door, pulling me away from my thoughts as I stood on the balcony. I turned toward the sound and called out, "The door’s open!"

The door creaked open, and I saw my two little cousins, Subham and Naina, step in. Their faces were full of excitement.

"Di,"

Subham said softly, his voice full of concern, "Are you feeling better now?"

Naina stood beside him, her hands carefully held in the air to avoid ruining the fresh mehendi designs on her palms.

She was holding Subham’s hand lightly, trying not to let her hands touch anything.

I smiled at them. Their energy and love made me feel warm inside. My own mehendi had almost dried since I got it done first.

"Di, let’s go!" Naina said cheerfully. "Your sangeet is about to start!"

I looked at them, their excitement filling the room. Taking a deep breath, I smiled and nodded.
