Luv followed behind Primus, his eyes still avoiding to look at him in his entirety. He had never been inside such a nice home before...a home so huge that it could house so many of those without a home.
The open space almost seemed pointless and unused. Almost had him questioning the ethics of why people build such big houses in the first place.
"Your room is right next to mine, but if you want a different one or one farther away from mine - that's okay too." Primus took Luv's hand as he guided him towards the door.
He long noticed how shy Luv was being and avoiding to look at him. His ears haven't stopped red and he didn't want to make him uncomfortable in any kind of way.
Even if he most likely was not.
"It's all yours, my Luv. No cost to you." Primus smiles, stepping back to allow Luv the opportunity to open the door himself.
Luv was frozen in his own disbelief as this was all happening so quickly. It still felt too good to be true.
"Let me help you without there being some kind of...cost or stipulation. There is no secret intention, I just want you to be comfortable and safe. You won't ever feel discomfort again. Not on my watch, my Luv." Primus murmurs above his temple, only to step back as he went towards his room. "I will give you a moment to take everything in at the pace you wish. I'll change out of my uniform really quick."
Luv watched Primus go into his own room easily, and he still stood there at a loss. His hand holding onto the door handle...too nervous to open it.
But even once he encouraged himself to do so, it felt too good to be true. All of it felt too good to be true...the room was larger than any place he had ever had the pleasure of living in.
He allowed himself inside and stood at a standstill. His hands shaking from the shock of it all...none of it felt real.
He waited for the punchline. For Primus to come up behind him and call him out for being such an idiot. An idiot as to think someone like him would ever like someone like him...
It was easy to think in such a pessimistic way.
Except he slowly sat himself on the bed, looking at where he was once more. His hands still trembled at the prospect...of where he was. Who head giving him this chance in the first place.
"Do you like it?"
Luv looked over, seeing Primus watch him nervously for a response. He held some towels in his hand as he set them down on a drawer.
"I...I have nothing to say."
"I assume that's a good thing in this context." Primus rushed over, sitting beside Luv on the bed. He saw the way he instantly faced forward awkwardly and he smiled at such a thing. "You don't have to hide how you truly feel. Are you sad, happy, confused, all of that-?"
"I'm...scared."
Primus frowned, not expecting to hear that kind of response. He scooted away from Luv some to give him some space, unsure of what exactly he was scared of.
"I'm not scared of you, you idiot." Luv snapped, causing Primus to smile shyly as he came back to sit closer beside him. "I'm scared of how good this all is. It doesn't seem real. There's no way...you're really doing all of this for me right now."
Primus smiled, extending his hands to Luv. He looked down at them in confusion for a moment and when he saw Primus nod at him for him to grab them, he took his hands.
He watched him place his hands on his chest, and Luv could only look at his hands. Just the idea of looking Primus in the eye at that moment embarrassed him more than he'd ever admit.
