Y/N leaned back in her driver seat and stared at the house that her father lived in. She stared in hatred as the man had been living lavishly as her and her mom struggled to get by before her mom finished her nursing degree. They had sometimes gone to bed hungry or without heat or electricity. She watched as Paul stepped outside and smiled at her. He waved her to head inside and Y/N lets out a sigh before she climbs out of the car. She makes her way up the steps and slowly walks into the home. She felt stiff as she walked through the home. She saw the photos of his family and all the happy memories they had.

She felt her throat get tight as she thought about how she grew up and he was here living lavishly. "Did you want something to drink before we get started?" Paul asks. "Water is fine" Y/N mumbles. She clears her throat as she swallows her emotions.  Y/N followed her father towards the kitchen and bit her lip as she stared at all the decorative pieces in the home. "Nice place." Y/N tries sounding genuine. Paul gives her a small smile with a nod. "Thank you. Here you go. Now let's go work on this car." Paul pats Y/N's shoulder before he led the way to his garage. When Y/N walked in, her mouth dropped as she stared at the Nissan Skyline torn apart in his garage.

"Is this imported?" Y/N asks as she circles the car and looks at the interior. Her smile growing as she realized that she was getting to work on a car that she's only seen on posters. "A GT-R R34... They only produced these from 1998-2002. It was in the impound yard as evidence and was in bad condition. After clearing it from evidence, I had it towed here, and cleared from any previous crimes. I just have to rebuild it. I loved how good your El Camino looks so I thought I'd ask an experienced person help me rebuild it." Paul smiles at Y/N as he sees her eyes fill with excitement.

"My experience isn't cheap." Y/N looks at him. "I know and that's why once it's built, it's yours. I'll pay for everything that is needed and I just want you to build everything. including rebuilding the engines and the transmission. The only clause to this is that we work on it together and it stays here until it's complete. It's my graduation gift to you. I didn't get to be there for your childhood due to my own selfish needs and I don't want you to feel like I am trying to buy your love, because I'm not. I am just trying to be there now and I know that you rebuilt your car and it looks amazing. I think that this is a good way for us to spend time together and actually get to know each other. If that's okay with you?" Paul expresses.

"I appreciate the effort Paul. I see you're trying and I'm sorry if I don't seem emotionally available to the attention. They're reserved for my girl." Y/N half jokes. "I'm willing to put in the effort if you are too... I would love for you to get to know me as I get to know you. We don't have to act like father and daughter. We can start off slow. I'm okay with being called Paul for now but I'd love the chance for you to claim me as more than just sperm donor." Paul smiles when he hears Y/N let out a little laugh.

"I'd like that Sperm donor." Y/n jokes. "Perfect, I was hoping we could start by building this transmission. I had a new one imported from Japan. It's an original motor from Nissan. I had to pull some strings from when I was there while in the military." Paul says as he claps his hands. "Let's get it." Y/N claps her hands together as well and they both laugh before going towards the organized layout of the engine...

TIME SKIP

Y/N climbed into her car as she said bye to Paul before she went home. Jhené was on tour in Europe. She was waiting for her passport to arrive before she left and joined her. They had officially moved into Mila's downtown LA condo. She had bought another condo and Jhené had bought it from her with her singing bonus. Y/N threw in what she got from her signing bonus as well with Def Jam Records. Jay Z giving her more than enough to buy the condo and still have enough to pay off her album so she didn't owe Def Jam anything. She knew how these big businesses work and she wasn't about to get caught up in a scandal. What Jhené didn't know was that she also was paying off her album as well. She didn't want her girl stressing about the price of the album and the price of the studio. She wanted to take care of all of it and Jhené had money for herself.
