The new event story on JP has me CRUSHED. How could they do this to my favourite character?!

I still love Mizuki through and through and GOD I wish I could hug her so bad. :(

To make up for the PAIN that was inflicted on all of us, I wrote up a little thing involving you, the reader, that has a happier end.

Also, before this event I always used they/them pronouns for Mizuki, so I use those in the first half, but switch to she/her AFTER Mizuki confesses her secret. ♡

▸Mizuki had sent you a message a few days ago asking you to meet up on the rooftop with them after todays festival.

It seemed they wanted to tell you something important.

▸Of course you agreed to meet them up there, why wouldn't you? Mizuki's a good friend of yours after all.

Plus, nothing could really surprise you that much, could it? You already knew Mizuki used both they/them and she/her pronouns.

▸What you weren't expecting, however, were a trio of guys to make crude, transphobic jokes about... Mizuki.

▸Depending on the type of person you are, you either:

a) put them in their place beating them to a pulp then and there before leaving to meet Mizuki elsewhere instead

or b) left and told Mizuki to meet you in the hallway instead as the rooftop was 'occupied.'

▸When Mizuki finally made it to where you were in the hallway, you could tell they were anxious.

They tried to hide it, yes, but you could tell that they were tense.

▸You did your best to assure and comfort them, though. To make Mizuki feel safe.

▸When they confess their secret to you, you can see their fight or flight response kick in.

▸You're quick to reassure her, though. To let her know this doesn't change how you see her.

That to you, Mizuki will always be Mizuki no matter what.

▸Those words from you ease Mizuki so much, she can't help but cry happy tears, hugging you tight.

▸She was so scared you'd start treating her different, you'd view her different, perhaps you'd view her as a "not real girl," but you don't.

And god, Mizuki couldn't be happier.
