Teaching Leilani to drive was the most entertaining thing Oscar had ever attempted to do.

David and Janet Watts had never allowed their granddaughter to learn, claiming it was a waste of money and she had better things to focus on. While she didn't know it back then, Leilani now realised it was just another way for them to control her and keep her home.

Oscar was a good teacher though and she was happy to tell people a Formula One driver taught her how to drive.

"I don't know why you trust me to do this," Leilani commented as she drove around the empty car park. "Maybe you don't, maybe that's why we're in the carpark."

"We're in a car park because you're in my McLaren," Oscar corrected. "You've never driven a car before, I don't think learning in this is a good idea."

"I'm doing wonderfully—"

"You've barely moved!"

"I don't want to crash your fancy-ass car, Oscar," Leilani whined.

"We'll find you a car you can drive then," Oscar shrugged. "You worry too much."

"Don't lie, I know you're scared I'll crash your car," said Leilani as she got out of the driver's side. "Mr Formula one driver doesn't want Miss hasn't driven before out on the road."

Oscar rolled his eyes at her in amusement as he got into the driver's seat. Leilani outed at him before leaning back in the passenger seat.

"I'll get a driving instructor," She said. "It'll be quicker that way and then I don't have to buy a car yet. I've got an interview for a job near campus, just a few days a week."

"That's good," Oscar nodded. "You gonna be okay?"

"Yeah," Leilani smiled at him. "It's only a small job. I need something to myself until I graduate then I have to find a real full time job."

"Yeah but you're good at what you do...and you want to do it right?" Oscar questioned.

"History? Yeah, I enjoy it. It's just about finding the right job for it," said Leilani. "No need to worry about me, I'll work it out."
