As Abhay entered his room, he felt like a storm was brewing inside him. The multiple missed calls from Ruhi, which he had deliberately ignored, weighed heavily on his mind. The continuous beeping of his phone was like a nagging reminder of his failures, and he felt his anger simmering just below the surface. The situation was spiraling out of control, and Abhay felt like he was powerless to stop it. Everything he had worked so hard to build was crumbling around him, like sand slipping through his fingers. In a fit of rage, Abhay threw his phone across the room, watching as it hit the wall with a loud thud and shattered into two pieces. "Gussa nikalna hi hai toh sahi jagah aur sahi insaan per nikalo...bejaan cheezo per nahi," (If you want to vent your anger, do it on the right person and at the right time, not on inanimate objects) he heard a voice say, and he turned to see Aarav standing in the doorway, a look of concern etched on his face.
Aarav's eyes met Abhay's, and for a moment, they just stared at each other..
"Can I come inside ?"Aarav asked..and Abhay just nodded...As Aarav stepped inside the room and walked over to Abhay. He reached out and felt Abhay's forehead, his touch gentle but firm. Abhay's eyes flashed with irritation, but Aarav just held his gaze, his expression calm and soothing.
Abhay's body was burning with fever, and Aarav could feel the heat radiating from his skin. He held Abhay's arm and gently guided him to the edge of the bed, where he made him sit down. Abhay's eyes narrowed, his face twisted in a scowl. "What are you doing?" he asked irritably, trying to shake off Aarav's grip.
Just then, one of the workers came in with a food tray and Aarav's medical kit. "Keep it there...and check if dad is up or not," Aarav instructed, his eyes never leaving Abhay's face. The worker nodded and obliged, leaving the tray and kit on the bedside table.
Aarav waited till the worker left and than turned his attention back to Abhay. He took out a thermometer and held it up. "Muh khol?" (Open your mouth?) he asked, his voice firm but gentle. Abhay's eyes crinkled in annoyance, but Aarav just waited patiently, the thermometer poised in mid-air.
Finally, Abhay relented, opening his mouth to allow Aarav to insert the thermometer. Aarav waited for a minute, his eyes fixed on the thermometer, before removing it and checking the reading. His eyes widened in concern as he saw the temperature reading: 104 degrees.
Aarav's gaze then shifted to Abhay's hand, which was bandaged. Omkara had told him that Abhay's body was burning with fever, but he hadn't mentioned the injury on his hand. "Ye kaise lga?" (How did this happen?) Aarav asked, his voice firm but concerned.
Abhay's eyes flashed with irritation, and he stood up without answering, but again he felt his head spinning. What's happening? he thought to himself, feeling a wave of dizziness wash over him. Aarav caught him, holding him steady as he sat him back down on the bed. "Aaram se...you are high with fever...isiliye chakkar aa rhe hai...you need to rest," (Take it easy...you have a high fever...that's why you're feeling dizzy...you need to rest) Aarav said, his voice calm and soothing.
But Abhay was having none of it. "I'm fine...bukhaar hi hai...thodhi der mei utar jaayegi...i need to freshen up and go," (I'm fine...it's just a fever...it will come down in a little while...I need to freshen up and go) he said, his voice nonchalant, but his eyes betraying his concern....he had for Ishu and Ruhaan...
Aarav's eyes narrowed, his face set in a determined expression. He knew that Abhay was not fine, that he was hiding something. And he was determined to find out what it was. "You're not going anywhere," Aarav said, his voice firm but gentle. "You need to rest and recover"
