Chapter 17 It's a Wolf!!

Kai POV

"Kai?" It's Harumi, she just walked in on me grabbing my things.

"We need to find Lloyd and Zane."

"So you just plan on going alone?" She sounds casual, but with how she's leaning on the doorframe, it screams judgy.

"I have my element back, I'm able to be outside again. Besides, you heard what Sorla said, the advisor guy has a looking glass thing. If we all go it'll be more suspicious to him." She's not stopping me.

"Alright, so you actually thought this through then? I'm coming with you." What?

"Uh, no?"

She walked past me, grabbing her things that she's left in the house and walked out.

"You're not coming with, Harumi." She walked towards Garmadon.

"I am. I already talked to Sorla about the path to the palace." Oh.. I forgot about that.

"We're going to the Ice palace, we're going to try to find Lloyd and Zane." Harumi says in a matter of fact tone. Is she planning on arguing this point to everyone?

Garmadon looks up from where he's doing something with a net. He looks at both of us for a moment then looks back down.

"Ok, stay safe." Harumi blinks for a moment before turning to walk out of the town, and by proxy, the palace.

We say our goodbyes to Garmadon and whichever ninja we see, explaining what we're doing, until we get out of the city and onto the ice.

"Wait a minute, I was trying to keep you away from following me."

She just shrugs, well it's not like I was doing a good job at that anyway. Rumi actually knows how to get there, so she was doing better than me.

"You were planning on leaving yourself, weren't you." She shrugs again.

"Well then. Good thing we were on the same page. I honestly don't think either of us would've survived on our own." She glares at me, I continue before she starts talking.

"Not saying either of us wouldn't have gotten far, but you all can't be out here for long, I might've been cold, but I wasn't blind. You all might've prioritized me, but you were all freezing too."

"It's not that bad." Harumi mumbles, the worst lie I've heard from her yet.

"Sure, and I'm not the Master of Fire."

Cole POV

"Hey Cole? You good? You're being a bit.. distant."

"Yeah, I'm fine Jay. Just.. working."

I should've gone with Kai and Harumi. It would've fixed the mistake I made. I need to fix it.

"Alright bud, just.. I'm here, ok?" I nod, continuing my work as Jay walks away.

Garmadon POV

Jay and Nya are flirting in between their worried talking. Father, how young are these kids again? The two keep glancing towards Cole who's shoveling snow a few houses down; he doesn't look like he's all there.

"Cole?" He doesn't respond.

He looks on the verge of a breakdown. These aren't my kids Wu. Why aren't you here? No, scratch that, Morro. Why isn't Morro here? He's so much better at emotions.
