Zane POV
It's been around six hours now. Well that's what the clock in my head says at least. The storm outside is calming down. Lloyd has mumbled stuff about getting food and the mech in here.
He's currently working on trying to use his powers. He's got sparks of green to appear and a firelike thing once, but he panicked when it appeared and hasn't been able to bring it back yet.
I've been trying to make the supposed ice powers work, but I only made a halo of snowflakes fall above me so far.
"You said there were others right?" Lloyd looks up, the sparks from his hand stopping.
"Yeah. Our fa- friends: Kai, Nya, Jay and Cole. My uncle Wu and my dad. My cousin Morro, and our girlfriends Harumi," he points to himself, "and Pixal." He points to me, looking confused.
"Didn't I already tell you this?"
"Three hours ago, you did.."
"What is my girlfriend like?" He smiles like he was waiting for me to ask.
"She's a Nindroid like you, like I said, but she has these purple markings over her skin. She likes to look like that, or at least hasn't chosen to shift the entire time I remember her." He's searching for more words.
I look out of the cave to the storm. It should take another ten minutes or so to calm down enough to be stupid and traverse it.
"She's a samurai? Instead of a ninja. I'm sorry, I-"
"No. You're good. It's more than I know. She sounds nice."
"She is." He shuffles in his place from where he's sitting.
Eight more minutes and I'm going to be stupid.
"Do you know how to fix a mech?"
"No, but my subconscious memory hasn't let me down yet." He shrugs.
Lloyd keeps looking over at the staff, as if he's considering using it. With our options, I don't blame him.
The last few minutes pass.
"What do you think-" "How stupid would it-" I blink, staring at Lloyd.
"Stupidity overrules, you say your thing first." He says. I face him.
"How stupid would it be if we walk out there now and get the mech back?"
"Huh. I was going to ask: What do you think about using the staff to bring the mech in here?"
"Huh.." We both turn to the entrance of the cave.
"I'm going to need to use it.. Won't I."
Lloyd quickly moves to grab the staff and shove it in my arms.
"Good luck!" He yells as he races out to the direction of the mech.
The power from this thing is crazy. It takes a couple of seconds before I stand up to follow Lloyd.
Like before, I take off my gi top to wrap the staff's handle with. I hadn't noticed before when I was panicking, but I have a black long sleeve shirt underneath. It definitely stands out from the snow around, but considering Lloyd's in bright green, I'm not too concerned about myself.
"Are you going to wing it? Or should we try to figure stuff out first." He's on top of one of the mech's legs.
"What exactly are you expecting from me?"
