Christmas Catastrophe

Olivia's P.O.V.

Today is Christmas. The snow was piling high as it fell, giving today that Christmas feel like how you see on T.V. or other forms of entertainment.
Tonight everyone is getting ready for the Christmas party that is going to happen tonight or the kids from 17 & below are waking up and finding their presents underneath the big Christmas trees in their nurserys. It's so heart warming to see the kids faces brighten up whenever they open their gifts to see that they got what they wanted for Christmas.
I was happy when I saw this. Even the teenagers, who have been more mature than the younger children, seemed to be having fun even if they are no longer little as they share the happiness with the younger ones, acting more like children again as they get their gifts & treats. Which gives you that warm fuzzy feeling. It's always a blessing to see other people smile, especially children.
Today, everyone is happy & carefree, having fun as the Christmas spirit is in the air; yet, I am still a bit uneasy. What if Aku comes back. When I woke up it was already December 15th and everyone was worried. I told Kiba what had happened in the dream and he explained to me everything.

~Flashback to December 15~

When I woke up I saw Ace asleep, resting at his desk with a manga opened.
I smiled and then remembered my dream. The crazy dream.
Ace must of heard me wake up for he lifted his head and looked towards me. He was shocked and then got up, walking towards as he beamed.
"You are awake. Thank God."
"How long was I out?"
"Two days."
"Two days?! Haaa. I am such a heavy sleeper. Haha." I said with a nervous laugh. Ace then removed one glove, placing a gentle hand on my forehead and was close to my face. My heart pounded & I felt my face burn again. Ace chuckled and removed his hand.
"I can't tell if you have a fever still or something else."
"I-I, uh...so did you miss me?" I quickly changed the subject.
Ace then sat back and looked up, a hand under his chin as he was thinking.
"Hmmm. Nothing much. But I was a bit worried about you. But not much. I knew that you'd be ok. Hehe."
"Haha. Thank you. Ace, um, can I tell you something?" Ace said with a chuckle, looking at me as he put back on his glove.
"Sure. What is it?"
"I uh...had a dream and it was about me and this guy."
"Ok. Go on."
"Well, Ace, I have a demon after me and he wants me to be with him. Yet the thing is, I don't love him, I love and I am scared for he nearly corrupted me. Well, I think that is the case. I don't fully understand myself." I said nervously as I fiddled with my fingers, looking down. I was scared as I felt my body tremble.
Ace then wrapped me up in a warm embrace.
"It's ok. You don't have to explain it to me. But again, like how I've said before in the past, I won't let anything bad happen to you." Ace said warmly, easing my shock. Then there was knock at the door and Ace pulled away from our hug, allowing the person outside entrance.
"Shitusureishimasu(excuse my interruption)." Kiba said politely as he entered the room.
"Hey." Ace greeted him as walked in and stood by the entry way.
"How's it going?" Ace asked looking up at Kiba.
"Good. Um, may I borrow Olivia for a bit?" Kiba asked.
"Sure. But also ask her if she wants to go with you. It's not like I own here or anything." Ace said with a smile as he got up & went to his desk, sitting backwards in his chair, watching Kiba and I.
I looked at Ace then at Kiba and asked,
"What do you need?"
"I came here so I can have a private talk with you. Ace?" Kiba said, looking towards Ace. Ace nodded & smiled as he said,
"Sure. I can respect that. Well, I will see you later I guess."
"Thank you."
"Don't mention it." Ace then got up and left the room leaving me alone with Kiba.
"So, what is it that you need?"
"I came here to discuss a few things with you. First off, lets start off with your dream. Please explain it to me." Kiba said. I nodded and told him about everything as he listened, leaning against the wall with his eyes closed, processing everything.
"Naru hodo(I see). So he finally made a move on you. Mind control is what he wanted. To make you love him by replacing your memories & feelings so they are targeted towards him."
"Yea. I understand that but what doesn't make sense to me is, why me?"
"Well. You see, before you were born, your parents had strived for power and would go to what ever lengths for that. Aku took notice and was highly interested in them. So, he made a deal. If they provide him a bride, then by the time she was 18, she would be handed over to them & they'll be given immortality along with other powers.
Your parents were too excited at that moment they made the deal without seeing the consequences or how flawed it was. All they cared about was the outcome. They already made a blood contract with him and the deal was set. Hence making you his."
"Why can't he just give up on me? I am nothing special and also, there billions of girls in this world. He can pick anyone one of them. Go on a dating website. Something to get him off of my tail!"
"I wish he would too. But he is a sick bastard. He likes seeing things go nice and slow so they can suffer. Yet, he wants you and as soon as possible now. He has grown impatient. There is something about you that he is attracted to and he wants you. That is all I know. Yet, he has been after you for while. Is there anyone else in your life?"
"What do you mean? I have many people in my life."
"Before you came here & met Ace at the college that you graduated from."
"No. There was only Casper that had. I don't any other family either. The only blood relatives that I had were my parents and older cousin. He was the son of my mom's sister who died at child birth while her husband commited suicide soon after the death of my aunt. So my parents took him in & loved him. More than me."
"Naru hodo(I see). Well, I guess we have to be more careful now. Well, you have to. I still have my duties so I can't defend just you 24/7. Gomenasai." Kiba apologized & bowed.
"Uun, daijoubu daiyou(No, it's alright)." I said with a smile. Kiba, saw & nodded, seeing that I really do understand.
Kiba left and I sat in bed thinking, I may have to start working harder from now on. Such as with my training sessions with Daisy and stuff. Hm. I should also learn how to use a gun. Haaaah. Either way, I need to get to the bottom of this.
