"What are the odds the door isn't even locked?" I quipped as Katie collected the rest of her things. She shot me an unamused look. The second I turned the handle and it clicked the door open I froze.

With a sheepish grin, I slowly turned around to see Katie stood behind me with an unreadable look. Though I could tell she was debating on whether or not to be annoyed, and frankly I couldn't blame her.

"Are you fucking serious," Katie deadpanned. I tried and failed to hold in my laughter, so when her eyes darted to mine I stifled my laughter immediately and my cheeks burned with embarrassment. The look in Katie's eyes morphed into one of slight disappointment, and her shoulders dropped.

"Sorry?" I offered quietly. A moment later she was shaking her head and stepping towards me with a glint in her eye I knew all too well. Less then a second later I was flicked in the forehead, and left alone in the changing room. My brain struggling to keep up.

"Are yous just gonna stand there, or are you going to come with me?" Katie had turned around halfway down the hall when she realized I wasn't following. She raised an eyebrow and I snapped myself out of it quickly taking a few steps to catch up.

We rounded the corner towards the main entrance of the facility in a quietly charged silence. My head spinning with the confession Katie had made to me after stopping me from falling apart.

My thoughts shifted, I had a bone to pick with Leah fucking Williamson.

As if right on que when Katie opened the door to the carpark Leah was chatting away with Kim near her car. Her eyes caught mine immediately, and just before I was about to come unglued on her, someone beat me to it.

"Leah!" Katie was briskly walking towards her, my eyes widening in something between concern and amusement. "Yous better be drafting a public apology or running for you life right now."

Leah's grin only widened as she backpedaled between cars towards her own. "How about neither?" I couldn't see Katie's face, but the way worry flashed across Leah's face for a split second told me she should probably choose both instead.

"Uh, what's happened?" Kim, bless her, was utterly confused at the scene unfolding in front of her.

"Sorry Kim, gotta go!" Leah chirped, and seconds before Katie reached her she slipped into the front seat of her car, and locked the door leaving Katie fuming beside the window. I stood still close to the facility door trying my hardest to suppress a grin.

Leah cracked the window slightly, "See you lot tomorrow!" With that she started her car and drove off probably to Wally's. That's when I dipped my head shaking it in amusement as I joined Katie and Kim in the middle of the car park.

"Anyone care to tell me what's going on?" Kim's eyebrow was raised in curiosity. Her arms lightly crossed, sometimes I wasn't sure how she put up with all of our antics. Silence followed Kim's question, and I glanced in Katie's direction. Her jaw was tense.

"Just Leah pulling pranks," I commented offhandedly, more worried about why Katie looked so pissed. "We'll see you tomorrow, yeah?"

Kim, still slightly confused by everything simply nodded telling us to get home safely. We parted ways and Katie walked silently next to me towards her car because she refused to let me drive after my breakdown. I glanced at her sideways analyzing the stiffness in her shoulders, the way her jaw was set. She was fuming.

I didn't mention it until we'd gotten settled in the car and Katie began the drive back to our flats. "Katie, are you okay?" Concern evident in my tone.

She hummed curtly in response, and that's when I knew she wasn't fine in the slightest. I let out a sigh slipping my hands underneath my thighs, and leaning my head back against the headrest.
