Beomgyu sat on the edge of his bed, his hands trembling as he stared into the mirror. The reflection staring back at him wasn’t just his image; it was a shattered version of the person he once was, a boy who had only ever craved love, care, and understanding from the people who were supposed to give it. His mind swirled with thoughts of his childhood, of the moments when he wished for a brother who would understand him, who would have his back when life got tough. All he wanted was someone who could see past his mistakes and flaws, who would still choose to be there for him no matter what.

But what had he gotten? A family that was too busy to see his pain, too cold to understand his hurt. A brother who had pushed him away, who had once been his closest friend but was now his greatest source of pain. Beomgyu's eyes welled up as he ran his hand through his damp hair, trying to hold back the flood of tears threatening to escape.

Bg: Why?.....
he whispered to his reflection.
Bg: Why is the world against me?

The silence in the room only echoed his feelings of isolation. With a shaky breath, he stood up, his feet heavy on the floor as he walked to his suitcase. There was no turning back now. He couldn’t stay here any longer, couldn’t bear the suffocating tension in the house, couldn’t face Yeonjun’s harsh words and the coldness that lingered in every corner of the place. He packed his things quickly, his hands moving almost mechanically as he stuffed clothes and personal belongings into the suitcase.

When he was done, he looked around the room—empty, dark, a hollow reflection of the emptiness he felt inside. He grabbed his bag and walked out, closing the door behind him with a quiet click. It was like the final goodbye to the life he had known, to the family that no longer felt like home.

The storm raged outside as Beomgyu stepped into the night. The rain soaked through his clothes within minutes, but he didn’t care. His heart was already drowning in pain. The coldness of the rain felt like a match to the numbness inside him. With every step he took, he walked farther away from his past, from everything that had hurt him, or so he thought.

He walked for what seemed like an eternity, the world around him blurry through his tears. He didn’t care that he didn’t know where he was going. All he wanted was to escape, to be alone. The streets were quiet, the sound of rain and his footsteps the only company he had. He eventually found a bench by the side of the road, and without hesitation, he collapsed onto it. His body shook with sobs, and the rain continued to pour, drenching him completely. He couldn’t even find the strength to call Soobin, the one person he thought might understand, the one person who had always been there for him.

Meanwhile, in the warmth of the Choi family home, Mr. and Mrs. Choi sat in the office, their worry palpable. Mrs. Choi’s eyes were swollen from crying, her hands shaking as she clutched a handkerchief. Mr. Choi, his face set in grim determination, sat across from her, his gaze cold and distant.

Mr.Choi: We can't do this anymore
Mr. Choi muttered under his breath. His voice was low, but the resolve in it was clear.
Mr.Choi: We need to find him now.

He quickly dialed his security guards, giving them instructions to search the entire area, to find his son no matter what. He couldn’t lose Beomgyu, not like this. Not because of his own mistakes.

As the minutes ticked by, Beomgyu sat on the bench, feeling the weight of the world on his shoulders. His $300 savings, the only thing he had left, seemed insignificant in the face of everything he had lost. How was he supposed to survive on his own? How was he supposed to live when the very people who were supposed to protect him had let him down?

Suddenly, he felt something over his head. It was an umbrella, shielding him from the rain. He looked up, his heart racing as he saw a familiar face.

Bg: Yeonjun?
Beomgyu gasped, his voice cracking. He scrambled to his feet, trying to step away from him, but Yeonjun grabbed his wrist gently, holding him back.
