Chapter 41: Before I say 'I Do'

The day after getting their parents' hesitant approval, Beomgyu and Yeonjun still felt on edge. Their parents hadn’t fully accepted their love yet, but they also hadn’t rejected it. It was like standing in the middle of a storm, waiting to see which way the wind would blow.

Yeonjun, however, had other plans.

The Proposal That Almost Killed Beomgyu (Literally)

Yeonjun had planned the most romantic proposal ever. A private dinner on a rooftop, fairy lights twinkling, soft music playing in the background. The entire atmosphere screamed "Marry me, baby" in the most elegant way.

Beomgyu, however, was completely clueless.

Bg: Wow hubby, u really went out all just for a dinner date?
Beomgyu teased, stuffing his mouth with food.
Bg: U must be really in love with me right?

Yeonjun smiled at him, eyes full of adoration.
Yj: Yeah I'm love with your body.

Beomgyu choked. Hard.
Bg: OH—MY—GOD! *Cough* WHAT!?
He reached for his water, coughing violently.

Yeonjun rolled his eyes, patting Beomgyu’s back.
Yj: Relax baby. You' making my proposal moment embarrassing 

Bg: Proposal?
Beomgyu's eyes widened. His mouth was still full, cheeks puffed like a hamster.

Yeonjun pulled out a small velvet box, looking at Beomgyu with the softest expression.
Yj: I wanted to do this properly, even through we're already engaged. So Beomgyu—

But before he could even finish, Beomgyu suddenly gasped so loudly that he accidentally spit out his drink… right onto Yeonjun's suit.

There was a long silence.

Beomgyu covered his mouth in horror.
Bg: Oh my God!

Yeonjun blinked.

Then, in the calmest tone, he said,
Yj:.....Baby, do u want to die before even we get married?.

Bg: I—IT WAS AN ACCIDENT. I SWEAR!
Beomgyu panicked, grabbing tissues to wipe Yeonjun's suit, but the damage was done.

Yeonjun sighed, wiping his face.
Yj: This is so on brand for u.

Bg: BUT—BUT THE RING!
Beomgyu pointed at the velvet box.
Bg: You still didn’t finish

Yeonjun huffed, then got on one knee (despite being drenched in Beomgyu’s drink).
Yj: Choi Beomgyu, my chaotic little prince, Will u marry me?

Beomgyu’s face went bright red.
Bg: Yes!!!!!!!

Yeonjun smirked and slammed the ring onto Beomgyu’s finger.
Yj: You're stuck with me now baby.

Beomgyu gulped.

It's just two more days for Yeongyu's marriage.
The next challenge? Planning the wedding. And it was absolute hell.

Fighting Over Suits Beomgyu wanted a modern, sleek suit but Yeonjun?
Yj: Baby why don't u try soft flowy look? You'd look like an angel~
Beomgyu glared.
Bg: No. It's my big day I'll choose whatever I want.

Cake War – Yeonjun wanted classic vanilla. Beomgyu wanted chocolate. In the end, they got both because neither would back down.

Theme Disasters –
Bg: A romantic theme would be cute!

Yj: No we need something grand & royal.

Bg: No!!

Some of Yeonjun's  friends were also here helping them they got annoyed from the lovebirds quarrel over some silly things
Jake & others: JUST PICK SOMETHING BEFORE WE ALL LOSE OUR MINDS!.

Yeonjun teased Beomgyu every chance he got.

While trying on suits, Yeonjun whispered in Beomgyu’s ear,
Yj: Baby~ you should wear a bowtie. I wanna pull it undone on our wedding night~

Beomgyu screamed and threw a hanger at him.

The night before the wedding, their friends threw them separate bachelor parties.

Yeonjun lasted five minutes before sneaking into Beomgyu’s party.

Yj: Missed me?
Yeonjun whispered into Beomgyu's ear, making him jump.

Bg: Hubby?! You're supposed to be at your own party!

Yj: But I'd rather be with you.
Yeonjun smirked, wrapping an arm around Beomgyu.
Yeonjun's friends already saw them together & as a result all of them are really annoyed how both of them clinging onto each other.
The others groaned.
CAN'T YOU TWO BE APART FOR JUST ONE NIGHT!?

Time passed all of them are now drinking at a table together.
At some point, a drinking game went too far.

Mike: Yeonjun truth or dare?

Yj: Dare.

Mike: Kiss Beomgyu right now.

Yeonjun grinned.
Yj: Gladly.

Before Beomgyu could protest, Yeonjun leaned in and kissed him—right in front of everyone.

The room exploded.

Beomgyu? Dead. Absolutely dead(💀).

Beomgyu was hitting Yeonjun in the whole car ride.

That night, Beomgyu lay in bed, staring at the ceiling. Was he really ready for this?

Yeonjun noticed immediately. He got out from his little drunk state now.
Yj: Baby what's wrong?

Beomgyu hesitated before whispering,
Bg: What if I'm not good enough for you?

Yeonjun’s heart broke.
Yj: Baby don't say that.
He pulled Beomgyu close, kissing his forehead.
Yj: You're the one that I want. Always & forever.

Beomgyu teared up but finally smiled.
Bg: Thank you.

Yeonjun smirked.
Yj: Now get some sleep. Tomorrow you'll be officially mine.
