Chapter 3: A Day to Remember

"Sorry, but I don't think I could give you a ride today, but I bet my brother would be happy to give you one. I have to stay after school for volleyball practice unless you want to stay for two in a half hours." Katherine told me. I couldn't help but feel this had to with the eavesdropping incident.

"Okay, it's fine. But yeah, I guess I could get a ride with him!" I chirped.

"Okay!"

This day couldn't go by any slower. I just couldn't wait to leave.

RIIIIIIINNNNNGGGG

Finally, at least I have one thing to look forward to.

Leaving.

I walk out the door, but I am not sure what his car looks like, so I pull out my phone. Before I could text Katherine, my phone went off.

Katherine: "Oh yeah btw, he drives a camaro..yes he drives one in teen wolf, too. lol."

Alyce: "Okay, I was just about to text you that! Thanks:)"

I put my phone up, and right then I see his car drive by.

"Hey, how are you doing?" He says as he opens the door for me.

"Great." I smiled. "Thanks."

"Mhm." He mumbles.

I broke the comfortable silence in the car.

"I don't have to be home right away if you wanted to do something." I shyly uttered. He smiled at me, and laughed.

"I thought you'd never ask." He grinned."Where do you have in mind?"

"Um, you tell me. You are the one who knows all of the good places in town. I just moved here." I spoke.

"Really? I could've sworn you lived here forever. You fit right in." Tyler answered.

"Aw thanks, I think. Okay so what is a good spot?"

"Depends what you are looking for. Food, entertainment, shopping-"

"Say no more." I smile.

"Do not make me go shopping. I am begging you." Tyler says jokingly.

"I wasn't! You are so mean!" I slap him playfully.

"I am just kidding. I would do anything you want to do." Tyler replied.

"You know what my dad and I used to do?"

"No what?" Tyler asked.

"We used to go this pet store down the street from us and go see all of the puppies and kittens on pet adoption day- which was everyday where we live." I hinted.

"Well you are in luck then, because there is a pet store right here." Tyler chuckles.

"Yay!" I clap my hands. Tyler laughed.

We pull into "Pets Unlimited" and see all of these adorable animals. We read a sign that says "Pet adoptions happen on Thursday- Sunday. Thank you and have a great day."

"Well it's Friday!" I chirped.

"Today is just your lucky day isn't it?" Tyler added.

"I guess so." I smiled sheepishly. "It is even better now that I am with you." I mumbled loud enough only for myself to hear.

"What'd you say?" I guess I wasn't quiet enough..

"Me? Oh nothing!" I played it off real well. Good job Alyce. Freakin idiot.
