"Aw well you deserve to be happy." Dylan smiled at a fan as he signed her card.
"Next!" The body guard shouted.
"Hi what's your name?" Tyler asked as the young fan greeted him.
"Paige." She said shyly.
"How old are you Paige?"
"I am seven years old." Paige said. Tyler and I both looked at each other shocked.
"And you are a fan of Teen Wolf?" I questioned.
"Yes ma'am. But my sister, Laila, she is seventeen years old, and she loves this show more than anything."
"Well than where is she?" Tyler wondered.
"She isn't here. She is in the hospital. I am doing this for her, it is her last wish." Paige looked down.
"Oh my gosh, I am so sorry. What happened?" I looked at Paige.
"She has a brain tumor, and my family can't afford it. So, we don't know what we are going to do." A tear trickled down from her cheek.
Tyler and I looked at each other. I wiped away the tear that was on her face.
Tyler whispered to me. "Maybe we can help their family out." I nodded.
"Hey Paige. We are going to help you. You don't need to worry about her. She is going to be okay. Can you show us where your mommy is?" I put my arm on her shoulder bending down.
"She is over there." She pointed across the building on a phone, tears streaming down her face.
"Ok, do you mind if you take her to us?" Tyler asked her.
"Okay." She grabbed our hand, and pulled us with her.
The body guard looked at us. "Give us a few minutes." Tyler said.
The lady looked at us, "Excuse me for a second." She said into the phone, and then wiped her eyes soon after. "Can I help you?"
"No, but I think we can help you." Tyler smiled.
"What are you talking about?" Paige's mom asked.
"Your daughter who is wonderful by the way, Paige, told us about your older daughter, Laila." Tyler hinted.
"It was her dream to come and meet y'all. She planned it for months. Then the cancer came back." She put her phone over mouth trying not to cry. "My baby girl doesn't deserve this."
"We want to help you." I smiled.
"How? It is just so hard being a single mother. I can't find good insurance for her. I can't afford her the expensive surgery she needs to live. They said I could do it in debt to them, but it would take me years to pay them back with the crumby job I have. We would have no place to live if that was how it worked. I am so sorry I am telling y'all all of this. You probably don't even care about random stranger's problems. I just don't have anyone to talk to." She cried hugging her daughter.
"Ma'am, we are more than happy to help you. We can have a fundraiser right here right now for her, by giving away Teen Wolf items, the fans would love it. Then we can take the money to your daughter, and meet her personally." Tyler considered to her.
Tears i ran down her face. "Oh my gosh, you have no idea how much that would mean to us. Thank you!" She straight up hugged us. "Oh you can call me Sam." She put out her hand.
"It is nice to meet you Ms. Sam." I shook her hand, so did Tyler. "I am Alyce, and this is Tyler."
"Please call me Sam." She insisted.
"Okay Sam, it will be about two more hours till we get the Meet N' Greet part finished. When there is an announcement on the intercom about a fundraiser, that is when you and your daughter come onstage." Tyler explained as he pointed to where we were sitting.
"I can't thank you enough. Take all of the time you need." She said gratefully.
Two hours flew by, and it was now time for the fundraiser.
"Okay everybody listen up, we are going to have a fundraiser, giving away Teen Wold things that can't be found anywhere else." The crowd went wild when Tyler said that. "Please give a warm welcome for Sam and Paige. We are trying to raise money for their daughter, Laila, whose dream is to meet us. She has cancer, and they can't afford it so we are going to help them get the treatment they deserve. Does that sound good everybody?!" Tyler said getting the crows riled up.
"Woo-hoo!" The crowd screamed.
"First item! This Teen Wolf book with a signing of every cast member and a short message!" Tyler said.
"Thirty dollars!" A crowd member said.
"Sixty!"
"One hundred!"
"One forty!"
"One fifty!"
"One ninety!"
"Two hundred!"
"Four hundred!"
"Six hundred!"
"Anyone choose to go higher than six hundred?"
"Six hundred and fifty dollars!"
"Seven hundred!!"
"Seven going once? Going twice? SOLD! To the girl in the purple headband. Come and claim your prize!" She handed us a check and we gave her the book.
"Next item! A bonus exclusive disk with secret scenes in it!"
"Four hundred!"
That lasted for about the rest of the day. By the end of it, we raised a great amount of money for Laila.
"Here you go." Tyler said. "We will be coming to see her in the hospital soon, so we can meet her."
"She would love that. You have no idea how thankful I am." She hugged me and Tyler. "You two kids are gifts from God."
"Thank you." I hugged her. "Bye Paige!" I hugged Paige. "Bye Sam. We will see y'all soon!"
"Bye! Thank you!!"
