My stomach turned as I walked into this party with Tyler on my arm. I was not in the mood for a party today. I want to be home in bed, watching Netflix. But, I did my best to put on a smile for my friends.
"Ally, whats wrong? You don't look so good." Chris asked me in a low tone. Obviously, I wasn't hiding it well.
"Nothing, I am just tired is all." Which is the honest truth. I am not in the mood to be around a bunch of hormonal teenage boys and drunk, trashy girls at the moment.
"Alright, well can I get you something? Advil? A drink?" Chris suggested.
"No, I don't drink." I stated.
"Well neither do I, I was talking about like a root beer or something." Chris said sheepishly.
"Oh, well then a water would be great." I smiled. "Thank you."
"No prob." He looked at me. I looked at Katherine, she looked kind of glum and sad. He noticed and took action. "Katherine, you want something, too?" He gave her a small smile.
Her small face immediately picked itself up and she seemed happier in near seconds. "Me?"
"Yes, you." Chris joked in a charming way.
"Oh, a coke would be good. Thanks Chris." She said with a sincere smile. She was blushing. I looked at Chris and gave him a smile of gratitude. "Thank you." I mouthed to him. That was really sweet of him to include her in like that. I am glad he did. He nodded in reply and walked away to get our drinks.
"Oh my bad, Tyler, you want anything?" Chris said as he was walking away.
"Oh no, I am good man. Thanks though." Tyler said in reply.
"Alright." He smiled and turned around continuing to the drinks.
A group of obnoxious guys walked around catcalling girls. They made their way to us. I rolled my eyes in annoyance. Katherine did the same.
"Dude, did you see the shot I made in that game? That was dope man! The crowd went insane!" I heard a conversation going on next to me.
Katherine kept her head down, as did I. Tyler saw the strange effect the guys had on us, and he made a move.
"I don't like the vibe those guys are giving off." Tyler stood in front of the both of us in a protective manner. "Let's go stand somewhere else."
"Alright." I said as I grabbed his hand and intertwined our fingers. Right then, a person came out of no where crashing right into me. I felt a strong liquid stain my dress I was wearing. It was freezing. All of this happened so quick I couldn't even comprehend what had happened. The male figure whose back was facing me was laughing at the audience of his friends across from me. I sighed in frustration and wiped the excess off of my arms.
"Dude, what the hell! Are you serious?" I turned his body around with my arm. He had blonde, shaggy hair with a lean physique. He looked like a surfer. He had eyes of the color of the ocean, that reminded me of my home town. I immediately noticed that I knew him. "Cody?" I made clear
"Holy shit. Alyce?!" He smiled. He pulled me in for a hug. His arms squeezed me.
"Get off of me!!" I shouted, pushing him away. Tyler immediately broke the tension and he showed up in front of me.
"Whose this?" Tyler asked very aggressive and stared at him in disgust.
"It's my ex boyfriend from Pensacola." I mumbled.
"Ally, you look hot. Time did well to you." He smirked at me up and down as he slurred his words.
"Don't talk to her like that." Tyler was starting to get heated. I calmed him down by rubbing his shoulder. I whispered in his ear. "Baby it's okay, let me take care of this."
"Cody, what the actual hell are you doing here?" I addressed the elephant in the room.
"A few months after you moved I moved down here, too. For my dad's work. Little did I know, I would get to see you again.." He inched his way closer to me. His breathe reeked of vodka and beer.
"Oh my God, don't even come near me. You are so drunk." I said strong.
He didn't listen to me, and he started inching even closer. "Dude, if you don't listen to her, I will kick your ass." Tyler stood in between him and me.
"Tyler, it is okay. He isn't even worth it." I said as I started to walk away and tried to wipe off the mess off my dress.
"I was worth it back in Pensacola wasn't I?" I stood in my tracks.
"What did you just say?" I grit my teeth.
"All of those times together, me and you." His words slurred again.
"There was never a me and you, Cody. You cheated on me, remember?" I hissed.
"What an asshole!" Tyler shouted.
"What did you just call me?" Cody stood up to Tyler's height.
"An asshole." Tyler said fearlessly.
"Oh you asked for it." Cody attempted to leap onto Tyler, but in reflex Tyler pushed him off of him with ease ready to throw the hands with him.
"Stop Cody! Don't touch him!" I shouted. "Tyler, it's not worth it!" I pulled Cody off of my boyfriend, and his hand swung up and hit me in the eye causing me to fall back into the ground, I could feel the blood rushing out of the back of my head. As everything started to turn black, the voices I heard were starting to grow smaller and smaller like they disappeared right into thin air. And with that, my eyes shut and I was oblivious to everything around me.

TYLER POV
I had my hand up in a ball ready to beat the shit out of this Cody kid for even laying his hands on Alyce.
"Stop Cody! Don't touch him!" I heard Ally's voice weakly call out. "Tyler it's not worth it!" Her voice snapped me out of this state I was in and brought me back to real life. I looked at her and slowly began to unclinch my fist. Ally pulled him out of my grip and he was still full of rage. His hand swung back up and hit something. It made a pop sound. Right then, I saw Alyce grab her eye in pain as she fell back into the ground her head made a bang into the concrete.
"ALLY!" I shouted. I ran to her side. Her eyes were closed.
"What happened!?" Chris dropped the drinks he had in his hands and fell to her level. He panicked and looked at me and then back at her
"Oh my God." Katherine started crying. A whole group of people started to surround us and her limp body.
Blood started gushing out from around us. Her eyes remained closed. "What do we do?!" Katherine's voice pierced in my ears.
"I am calling the police." Chris stood up and dug for his phone frantically in his jean pocket.
"Keep her head elevated." I said to Katherine
"How? What do I do? I don't know how-"
"Katherine, listen to me! Stop right now! She could die! Do you hear me? She could be dying!" I shouted at her. "DO WHAT I SAY."
"O-okay." She said in between sobs. I ripped my shirt off and put it under her head.
Cody stood there in awe. He hadn't said a word since it happened. I wanted to beat the living shit out of him, but my focus was all on her.
"Chris? What is taking so long??" I screamed at him in panic.
"They are on their way right now!" He fell back onto the floor next to me, ready to help. All of these people were starting to get even closer, none of them saying a word. They just stared at her emotionless. "For the love of God, would y'all give her some space? BACK UP!" Chris shouted like I never heard him. His voice had a compellingness to it.
"Stay with me, Ally. Please." My voice shook as I whispered to her, hoping somehow she would hear. More blood was pouring out of her onto my hands. My hands were trembling as I stared back down at them. Katherine's sobs were only growing.
Right then, I saw a flashing light.
