.CHAHAT VOHRA
As Aakarsh's arms wrapped around me, I felt a rush of emotions, my heart still tender from the hurt he had caused. But as he pulled me close, his cheeks and stubble brushing against my skin, I felt my defenses begin to crumble. I would have never been angry but the thoughts that I had at that moment when he left, they were unstoppable...I felt like;
Why did he go?
Why he did not attend the call in front of me?
And most importantly why couldn't he tell me where was he?
Although I know that I overreacted but I was on my periods and my overthinking was already on peak and he made it worse.
"Forgive me, Chahat," he whispered, his breath warm against my ear. "I know I hurt you, and I'm so sorry. I was wrong to leave you like that, without explanation or apology."
I felt a lump form in my throat as I struggled to maintain my composure. But Aakarsh's words, his touch, and his gentle tone all conspired against me, wearing down my resistance.
"I want to leave all the arguments behind," he continued, his voice filled with conviction. "I want a new start with you, in this new home. I want to build a life with you, free from the mistakes of the past."
As he spoke, Aakarsh's hold on me tightened, his arms enveloping me in a warm, comforting embrace. I felt myself melting into his touch, my heart softening, and my anger dissipating.
My eyes fluttered closed, and I allowed myself to be swept up in the moment, in the warmth of Aakarsh's arms, and in the sincerity of his words. I felt my forgiveness unfolding, like a petal opening to the sun, and I knew that I was ready to let go of the past mistakes and start a new. But then something tricky came into my mind.
My eyes snapped open, and I pushed against Aakarsh's chest, pretending to be still angry. "You think a simple apology and a charming smile will make everything okay?" I asked, my voice stern but my eyes sparkling with amusement.
Aakarsh chuckled and held up his hands in defense. "I'm not trying to charm my way out of this, I promise. I just...I had something important to take care of that night. With the house arrangements."
