"Jaha mere toote hue sapno ki meri Kuch majbooriyo se mulakat hui thi... Haa wahi se! Bas wahi se iss zindagi ki shuruvat hui thi." Chahat wrote her shayari and closed her diary.
Translation: "Where my broken dreams met my responsibilities...this life started from there.."
"Ohh! It's 11:58 pm already" she said to herself while looking at the time on her phone
As soon as it was 00:00 she ran towards the kitchen and took out a box of cake from the refrigerator
"Knock-Knock" She said while knocking on the door of her flatmate's room
"Happy birthday to you Happy birthday to you Happy birthday to you dear Prisha Happy birthday to you" She started singing the birthday song as soon as Prisha opened the door of her room.
"Happy birthday darling" She said while entering into the room and placing the cake on the table
"Thankyou my love" Prisha said with teary eyes as she did not expect this surprise from her new flatmate. "It's only been a month since we are living together and you are already doing a lot for me" Prisha said while pulling Chahat into a hug.
"Ohh please! Now please don't do this formality and cut the cake also don't think too much as we are living in the same flat so we are each other's family right? If yes then I don't think it's too much to do for a family member " She said while pulling out of the hug and pointing towards the cake
Prisha was about to cut the cake when her phone pinged "Happy birthday my love *with a heart emoji* " she saw there was a text message sent by Karan (her BF)
"Just a minute" Prisha said while typing something in her phone
"Thank you but I am angry" Prisha replied with an angry emoji. "I know baby I couldn't call as there is network issue here but I will compensate this with a surprise for you tomorrow, till then enjoy your day" Prisha received a message from Karan with a wink and heart emoji
"Surprise? Really? If that is the case then you are forgiven but be back by tomorrow else you know what will happen" She replied again with a wynk emoji. "Done" Prisha recived a text from Karan
"Oye hoye! Seems like your someone special has wished you" Chahat said while teasing Prisha as she was blushing. "By the way ab apka nain matakka hogaya ho to cake cut kar lein??" Chahat asked with a teasing smile
Translation: "If, you are done with the romance then, should we cut the cake?"
"Jo hukum" Prisha said while sitting on the sofa and started cutting the cake while Chahat was singing and clapping excitedly just like a kid.
Translation: "As you say!"
"Thankyou for making me feel special, I loved this surprise" Prisha said while feeding her the cake.
"Leave all this just tell me is he coming tomorrow ?" Chahat asked while feeding the cake to Prisha now.
"Yes and he said he has a surprise for me" Prisha said while blushing again
"That's great! Okay let's sleep now it's too late already" Chahat said while cleaning the mess on the table
"Okay! Good night my chhotu sister (little sister) " Prisha said while pulling her cheeks and Chahat gave a smile to her.
NEXT MORNING
"Good morning Mumma Papa" She said while looking at her parents photo. "You know today is Prisha's birthday and after a long time I have got a friend with whom I genuinely got attached in very less amount of time" She said while roaming her hand on her parents photograph. "And she even called me her chhotu sister last night although I liked it but I am just too scared to get attached to people" She said with a concern on her face looking down on her parents photograph.
"CHAAAAHAT CHAAAHAT UTH JAA" She heard Prisha screaming straight from the lobbey, She placed her parents photograph on the side table and got out of her room to check on Prisha.
Translation: "CHAAHAT!! CHAAHAT!! WAKE UP!"
"What happened? Are you okay?" Chahat asked with a concern while looking at Prisha.
"I am absolutely fit and fine, What will happen to me?" Prisha said with a chuckle
"Then why were you screaming like mohalle ki aunty (Neighbour Aunty) does..hmm??" Chahat asked while folding her hands around her chest
"So that you can wake up and be prepared" Prisha said while placing both her hands on Chahat's shoulders
"Be prepared? For what?" Chahat asked while raising her eyebrows
"Ofcourse for my birthday party honey" Prisha said while showing her the a text on her phone
"Be ready at 7 pm, we will be directly reaching to the party venue so meet us there with your friends and there will be one more surprise for you" Chahat read karan's text on her phone and looked back at her.
"This is good, but you know that I am not much of a party person so can I skip it ? vese bhi you guys are meeting after long time so you should spend some quality time together" She said while waiting for a response from Prisha.
"No! Ofcourse you can not skip this and there will be almost all of my friends so, you need to be there so that I can introduce my dearest friend to all of them" She said with a smile and happiness clear in her eyes.
"But actua..." she tried to say but was cut off by Prisha. "No more buts and ifs just get ready before 7 pm, we will be going together and consider this as my birthday gift" Prisha said with a hope that her friend will not deny.
"I understand but you know I don't drink and what would I do the..." She couldn't complete her sentence as she was again cut off by Prisha
"Trust me Chahat, Nobody will force you as long as your elder sister is with you. Now please don't deny as I really want you to come to my birthday party" Prisha said while showing Chahat her puppy eyes.
"Okay fine" Chahat agreed as she knew she could trust her because they started sharing a very good bonding that Chahat even told her about the loss of her parents while she prefers hiding it from people as they show fake sympathy.
"Yippeeee! now go to your room and select a dress for evening" Prisha said while pushing chahat towards her room.
