AUTHOR'S POV
Chahat woke up in the morning, feeling drained and disheveled after a night of intense emotional turmoil. Her eyes were swollen from crying, and her hair was a tangled mess. She didn't want to face the world just yet, so she lingered in the room, lost in thought.
As she scrolled through her phone, her gaze kept drifting back to her father's picture. The pain and grief still felt like a fresh wound. She noticed incoming calls from Prisha and Rishabh, but she ignored them, not feeling ready to talk to anyone just yet.
Finally, after what felt like an eternity, Chahat decided to get out of bed. She trudged to the washroom, where she attempted to freshen up. The cool water on her face helped to calm her down, but the sadness still lingered.
With a heavy heart, Chahat made her way to the living room, expecting to find Aakarsh waiting for her. But to her surprise, he was nowhere to be found. The silence and emptiness of the room felt oppressive, and Chahat couldn't help but wonder where Aakarsh had gone.
Chahat's gaze wandered around the living room and kitchen, searching for any sign of Aakarsh. That's when she spotted a note on the kitchen counter. She walked over to read it, her eyes scanning the words penned by Aakarsh.
"I am sorry Chahat, I am going out of town for two days.
I can't afford to loose you, if I will be in front of you, I will try to talk, I will try to explain and I really don't know what might trigger you and you would leave.
So, as you asked for space, I am giving you space for a while. Just take care of yourself.
I have made breakfast, please eat and take rest.
I love you.
More than my life.
-Your Arsh"
Chahat's eyes lingered on the words, feeling a mix of emotions. She looked at the breakfast Aakarsh had prepared for her, but the thought of eating felt unappealing. Instead, she walked back to the sofa and sat down, feeling a sense of emptiness and isolation wash over her.
She stared blankly at the wall, her mind replaying the events of the previous night. The revelation about her father's death, the property, and Aakarsh's involvement had left her reeling. She didn't know what to believe or who to trust.
