Last chapter's recap: "Everything will be okay soon." I whispered.

*****

The doctor came back in with a nurse and they immediately put A on some anesthesia to knock her out and numb the pain.

(Time skip because I don't wanna write about removing organs)

After about an hour A was finally back in her room. She was still doped up and half asleep. I leaned back in a chair next to her bed and started typing away on my phone.

"I could make room for you, Loz." She rasped. I shook my head.

"It's all good, besides you all up and need motherfucking sleep." I stated still looking down at my phone screen. When I looked up again she was fast asleep. I smirked and pulled the blanket up over her a bit. I leaned back again and stared at the ceiling. I was really fucking tired, but I didn't wanna sleep. But if you don't then we won't be able to get home shithead. I let out a deep sigh. I should probably stop talking to myself. I closed my eyes and tried my hardest to sleep, but just being here next to A and seeing her so fragile made me feel kinda sick. Like it was fucking hurting me. I was almost asleep when my phone vibrated in my pocket. It was Mikado.

mIkA: whEN ArE yOU gOnmA tEll hEr?

KURLOZ: TELL WHO WHAT

mIkA: tEll A yOU lOvE hEr

I thought about it for a while. Did I love A? I mean she's my bestfriend so of course I love her in a bro way.

KURLOZ: BRUH MIKADO YOU OVER HEAR FUCKING WITH MY HEAD N SHIT I GOTTA DRIVE HOME TOMORROW I AINT NEVER GON SLEEP NOW

mIkA: As lOng As A lIvEs It dOnt mAttEr

Wow, and I thought we were friends. I put my phone in my pocket and leaned back again. This is gonna be a loooong night.

A woke up at about ten and started to get her stuff together while she waited for the doctor to release her. I didn't sleep at all and I was running on coffee and fucking candy. I popped my neck and A twitched slightly.

"Sorry." I mumbled. She shrugged it off and said it was fine. I'm guessing a motherfucker is all up and ready to go home. A took a seat on the bed and stared at the ceiling. I playfully punched her knee and she smiled over at me. It was motherfucking miraculous to see her smile after all the shit she just went through. The doctor walked in with a wheelchair and discharge papers. He handed the papers to A. "Miss Aubergine, you are free to go. Make sure you stay off your feet and relax for the next few days so you don't tear your stitches. No rigorous activities, no junk food, and no soda. Understood?" A nodded smiling faintly. The doctor looked at me disapprovingly before telling me to take good care of her.

"Is the wheelchair really necessary?" A asked.

"C'mon, hop on my back, I'll carry you." A giggled before wrapping her arms around my neck and clinging onto me like a little monkey. She wrapped her legs around my waist and leaned her head on my shoulder, her face in the crook of my neck. She blew out a cold breath. I twitched.

"A, stop it, that feels weird." I hissed. She giggled and made a heart with her hands. I rolled my eyes and unlocked the car placing her in the passenger's seat. I started the car and looked over at A briefly.

"You okay?" I asked. She nodded.

"Just a little tired." She admitted. I feel that.

"You just motherfucking woke up, Sleeping Beauty." I retorted. She giggled shaking her head.

"It's the drugs, man." A hint of an accent peaked through. I smirked. Speaking of drugs I am SO getting blazed when we get home.

"You hungry?" I asked looking over at her. She shook her head saying all she wanted to do was sleep. I guess she really was tired because she fell asleep right after that.
