The minute the first exam's site came into vision, you could immediately tell that there was something off about it all.

Perhaps it was the air of anxiety that covered you all, or maybe it was the faint animosity you were picking up from your surroundings. You didn't know. But what you could tell, was that your classmates that surrounded you, were just as high on alert as you were.

For a good minute, all you guys did was study the scene in front of you in shock, trying to take everything in as fast as possible.

But all your doubts and worries turned to reality when the glowering glares of students all around you seemed to meet your vision.

Ah... So it's that kind of an exam?

Almost immediately, your expressions changed. The weight of the gun in your hands seemed to become almost non-existent and all of a sudden, you felt like the adrenaline being released in your bloodstream had you working in overdrive.

For a moment, you were worried about the unfair advantage they all had over you and your class. The entire world had seen the UA Sports Festival, everyone and their mothers knew of your quirks down to the very T.

But then, you recalled what exactly you had gone through to get here.

Knowledge of your quirks or not, there was something your class had that none of these brats possessed:

Experience.

They could never match the absolute desperation that clung to your very skins and bones. The exact same desperation that had pulled you through all those villain attacks, forcing you to strike down villain after villain just to live another day. That was what led you to reach here.

These people... They wanted to pass, but for your class... it was no longer a wish. It was a need. You did not have the luxury of choosing your wishes, you needed to pass.

It wasn't a hit-or-miss situation anymore for you, you all had realized that soon after the Forest Training Camp ended in a disaster. You all weren't given the liberty to laze around and hope that you'd survive just because you were first-year students.

If you wanted to live another day, you'd have to fight for it. And with All Might's retirement, the stakes had just been raised even higher.

Now, it was do-or-die.

You were gathered with your class, waiting for the signal for the first exam to finally commence.

Midoriya, on your right was also observing his surroundings, when he turned to address you all with a grave look on his face.

"Everyone." He called out to catch the attention of all of you, "I think... It would be wise if we stuck together for this exam! With how the other schools are moving, I think it's more like UA versus the rest of the other schools! If there's more of us, it'll be harder for the other schools to attack us!"

"Yeah, you're right..." Ojiro supported, "I'd feel a bit more at ease knowing that the people I know are the ones that have my back." You definitely agreed with his incentive, especially given the fact that information about your quirks were already out in the open for these schools to study up on.

"Can it, you extras. I don't plan on sticking with you dweebs and holding myself back," however, as expected, the one to first break off from the class was none other than Bakugo. "If you want to play buddies, then don't drag me into it. I'm here to show these fuckers why I'm better than all of 'em combined. Anyone who comes too close can have a taste of my fists!"

Joining his side were both Kirishima and Kaminari. A common trio that you weren't all that surprised to see. And as much as it killed you to admit it, you were glad that at least Kirishima and Kaminari were accompanying your stupid, hot-headed classmate. God knows how much that boy needed someone to keep him on a leash.
