Night in Tokyo was either two things: chaotic and club-full, or chill and relaxing. For a friend group who finally remembered each other after Tokyo's major meteor, it was irritatingly stressful since they were grocery shopping for dinner, something they rarely cooked (well, only two out of the six).

Usagi browsed the vegetable section before grabbing an assorted bag of some, "Should we make gyudon with some miso soup?"

Ann nodded, letting her girlfriend—Kuina, DUH—cover for her verbally, "Me and Ann can work on the soup, Chishiya and Niragi can handle the meat and make the noodles, and you plus Arisu can do the rice and veggies."

Niragi cocked a brow and crossed his arms, "Uh, you guys can do all that. I'll just sit back and—"

Chishiya nonchalantly spoke, "Do nothing and get nothing in return, Niragi."

Before he could come up with a rebuttal, his boyfriend and the rest of their group decided to split up in the store to make getting groceries easier. Of course, Niragi followed after his short-ass boyfriend because who else was he about to follow? The lesbians or a couple?!

Niragi walked side-by-side with Chishiya, "I swear, if I burn something fucking around with you and a damn pan—"

Chishiya said, "Make yourself useful and grab that box of noodles."

Niragi looked up to see a high-ass shelf full of noodles, "Why I gotta get it?!"

"Because you're tall enough, unless you wanna help me up—"

Niragi pulled a bag down and purposely dropped it into Chishiya's basket, "What else do we need for this fuckass dinner..."

The blonde kept his expression smug while talking and looking at his boyfriend, "Meat. But knowing us, we're getting a lot of that..."

"...Do you just mean yourself or—"

Chishiya deadpanned, "Don't make what I said nasty."

With a hectic shopping spree behind them, Chishiya and Niragi—plus their lesbian and hetero friends—returned to Arisu's house and started to prepare dinner. Usagi taught Arisu how to properly sauté vegetables while Kuina and Ann worked on making their shared miso soup.

Chishiya kept some water on the stove and brought it to a boil before adding the box of noodles, "Are you cooking the meat, Niragi?"

He lazily brought the meat out of its' packaging and to a pan, "What it sound like, you dumbass."

Niragi moved the meat around while Chishiya gently stirred the noodle-filled pot. Things in the kitchen seemed chill...until Chishiya smelled something burning.

Chishiya turned the stove eye down before tending to Niragi's burnt mistake, "Are you sure you're cooking it properly..."

"Obviously, Chishi—"

The blonde pushed Niragi out the way before taking care of what the hell he was doing. Apparently, he didn't prep the pan with any oil or butter before he started cooking.

Chishiya shot a side glare at Niragi, "You're dumber than we thought."

Niragi was too agitated to think, let alone respond to his supposed boyfriend. He got dragged into this mess for no damn reason, and one more word might cause him to lash out. But of course, Chishiya didn't care (even if he noticed his irritated face).

"Are you going to just stand there and watch me—"

Niragi's uncontrolled anger issues kicked in and cause him to grab Chishiya by the throat, pinning the short stack of blonde hair against a cabinet yet not gaining a reaction out of the blonde; "Shut the fuck up and stop bossing me around like I'm some damn child you dumbass bitch."

Chishiya cocked a brow, "Then stop acting like one, or is that all you know how to do?"

"Shut up—"

Usagi stepped between their argument with her arms crossed, "Can you two stop arguing like you're married or something?!" Kuina, Ann, and Arisu stopped what they were doing to listen in on Usagi's scolding; "Everyone is sick of you two constantly going back and forth over every damn thing! So can you two get your shit together and act like y'all love each other before the new year comes?!"

Niragi side-eyed the living out of Usagi momentarily since he wasn't about to give in to her suggestion like a damn follower. However, after a minute, the black-haired individual slowly loosened his grip on his boyfriend's throat and backed up, giving Chishiya some space (even though he wasn't phased by this at all). After the silence of everyone focusing on the two and Usagi, they returned to their respective positions and got back to cooking.

With a full table of food—they decided to cook an extra few dishes, up to thy imagination—and some alcohol provided by Niragi obviously, everyone was getting ready to celebrate the new year. People were eating, already full, or were both and now moving to alcohol and dessert. Said people were Kuina and Ann since they were ready to pop some bottles and drink their hearts up.

Kuina held a bottle of saké up, "Who's ready to drink!"

Arisu's apartment sounded lively as everyone got a shot of saké, toasted to a great year, and then inhaled the drink. Niragi definitely took his quick before getting another shot, and another, and—goddammit, he a bit tipsy; and now Chishiya had to deal with his idiocy turnt up by like ten.

Niragi swayed back and forth with his cup in hand, "Chishi, did I ever tell you...how sorry I was?"

"...Huh?"

Niragi was the type to get emotional when he was drunk so this—his rants—didn't come as a surprise, "I'm sorry for earlier...and for almost choke-slamming you to death—"

Chishiya kept his smug expression intact while he spoke, "You're not that strong. But even though this apology is bullshit, I'll accept it for now."

The night was coming to a beautiful end, finally.
