Minds can think alike, even if someone can be a 'straight' dumbass. It's a saying Chishiya came up with when he first met Niragi Suguru, a well-known psychopath at the Beach. Even though Chishiya wasn't that much better as a person, it felt like he was way above Niragi—or so he thought. As the days passed and turned into weeks, then those turned into months, the blonde came to a realization: him and Niragi were too alike, so no wonder they hated each other.

Chishiya sipped on a light drink his dear friend, Kuina, made; "Kuina, isn't it strange how you can hate someone so similar to yourself?"

She rolled her eyes, "What're you talking about?"

"Hatred, so keep up." The blonde took another sip, "Niragi seems to hate me, dearly so. But he never explained why, as if he would care enough to talk to me without cursing every second. However, it doesn't take rocket science to figure out the reason."

"...And what does that mean?"

Chishiya mentally facepalmed, "It means that he simply hates my existence based on the mere fact that we're too similar. He hates the way I'm so smart, so agile, so...unique, in a sense."

Kuina chuckled, "That's so egoistical of you, Chishiya. But I guess you're right."

Before their conversation could switch topics, they heard players rush past them with urgency since another game was being announced. Kuina got up first and tossed her cup, then Chishiya did before they ran to the main event—which was inside a hotel. The lobby had a few TVs that displayed the same thing.

Hide and Seek

Difficulty: Seven

Player Limit: 30

Starting Conditions

Players must wear a helmet. Each helmet consists of a microphone to communicate with each other, goggles with an advanced eye-tracking system, and an explosive collar. Melee weapons such as hatchets, saws, and hammers are also provided, and players can use them as they wish.

Rules

• One player is the wolf, and the other three are lambs.

• If the wolf and one of the lambs catch eyes, the lamb will be the next wolf.

• Once the time limit is reached the lambs' collars will explode.

Clear Condition: Whoever is the wolf at the end of the game wins. The lambs will get a game over.

Chishiya mentally registered the rules before grabbing a helmet at the game table. He clicked it around his neck, securely sealing it there...and then felt like a damn cat in a collar. How fitting for the Borderlands' Cheshire.
