"That's enough, Class A. Class B is scheduled to use this training room every afternoon." Vlad King and his students stood at the entrance of the gym, making me lose focus.
"Shit!" I slipped and got tangled up in my scarf. I whined, trying to get myself out of it, but failing completely.
"Class B? Izumi!" Midoriya saw me and helped me out of my own tool.
"Thanks..." I wrapped it back around my neck securely.
"Man. Crap timing." Denki whined. For real.
"Eraser, get your kids out of our way." He demanded.
"You're not trying to kick us out early when we have ten whole minutes, are you?" My father clocked him.
"Hey, did ya hear? The license exam has a 50 percent pass rate. That means your entire class might fail." Monoma started laughing manically. I scratched the back of my neck awkwardly as Midoriya and Kirishima made a face.
"Wait, is that Monoma's hero costume?" Denki asked.
"Well, since his quirk is copy, he said he didn't need anything too eccentric. Just that." Kendo replied.
"I respect that." I butted into their conversation. Denki flinched, not noticing me immediately.
"Unfortunately, his observations are correct. If we're taking the same exam, then we'll crush each other. That's the hand fate has dealt us." Tokoyami sighed. His last comment was sort of poetic.
"And why we won't be in the same location. Our classes applied to different spots." Mr. Aizawa said.
"There are two exams, in three different places during two different times. We don't want students from the same place fighting. We split you up." Vlad King explained, "Each school has at most one class at a single location."
"Whew." He left out what I think was a sigh of relief. "How sad we won't be able to face each other directly." He laughed manically.
"Man. This guys nuts." Kirishima turned to Denki.
"Yeah, I think he's officially gone off the deep end." The human pikachu replied. I giggled, covering my mouth so I didn't laugh too loudly.
"All those other schools. Huh, interesting. I didn't know that was the case. So we'll be facing kids from other places." Sero commented. I yawned, stretching my limbs.
"Yeah. And on top of that, we're taking the test earlier than most other students." Midoriya added.
"That's true. Very few first years in the country try for a provisional license. In other words, the test will be made up of students who've trained longer than you and with quirks you don't even know about. Ones that are powerful." My father said, making me start to sweat.
"The actual content of the exam is a mystery, but you can expect that you're going to have a rough time." Rei Tsuki, the pretty blonde lady that is our counselor, spoke up. After I first met her, I did some research and she went to UA with my mom and dad. She got her hero license but she never became a hero. Her quirk is pretty cool as well. I'd love to train with her one day.
"Try not to get hung up about that but keep it in mind." My father added. Ms. Tsuki smiled softly at us.
"I believe in all of you. I know you guys can do it!" She gave everyone reassuring words. My father glanced at her, making me raise an eyebrow. I didn't miss the fact that their heartbeats were in sync as they looked each other. He quickly looked away after realizing he was caught. I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Yes, sir! Yes, ma'am!" Everyone exclaimed in unison.
