Peter stood frozen as the flames disappeared leaving the three Hunters alone.
"Well... looks like Laurence doesn't want us getting through the Astral Clocktower" Simon stated.
"Wait... Laurence, as in the founder of the Healing Church Laurence" Peter asked.
"The very same" Simon answered, "I saw it... that night, it was the main reason I even came to the Hunter's Nightmare"
"How did Laurence become... that thing?" Maria said, her voice filled with sorrow at seeing an old friend become the monster he was now.
"No one knows how he became that monster, but they called the Cleric Beast" Simon said and chuckled at the remark, "After he became the first Cleric Beast, many more would follow, appearing on the most horrible of Hunts. But with Laurence's death, there was quite the power struggle between the Healing Church Hunters, the School of Mensis, and the Choir, not a single one of them would attack each other but the tension between each sub faction was eminent, people like Micolash took advantage of this. I never saw the aftermath of the power struggle, I had already come here. Though I imagine Yharnam isn't in the best state at the moment. Especially if people like Micolash had gained control, the madman was a complete nutcase"
"It isn't, but I will say Micolash is now silent permanently" Peter stated.
"... I imagine you were the one who silenced him" Simon said with a smile appearing on his face.
"Maybe" Peter said smirking,
Simon chuckled, "About time, he was a foolish, stubborn, and a manipulative bastard who would sacrifice anyone and anything to get what he wanted, I imagine he already sold his soul by the time you fought him"
