Maxine's P.O.V.

My very surroundings were pitch black with nothing in front or behind me. It took a while for my surroundings to change and shift like as the once black space I was in was filled with color. It was a room and I knew this must have to do with Regulus. Perhaps this was going to show me how he died? I stayed in the room for while waiting to see what would happen but nothing happened. I decided to explore but most doors were shut and the direction to go was up or down. I went upstairs with no doors open as I look at another set of stairs. So I went up and let me say one thing this was practically a mansion and the stairs just felt endless. I imagined I was on the second floor as I went up to the third floor to see another set of stairs. It felt endless and I didn't even bother looking at some labels placed on the door. Luckily I didn't feel tired from climbing so many stairs. Finally I reached the fourth floor to see the name Regulus on one door, with a sign hanging reading, 'Do Not Enter Without the Express Permission of Regulus Arcturus Black'.

I then heard voices coming from the next room with its door half open. The name on the door read Sirius. I squeezed myself inside not wanting to test if I could go through, although I most likely could.  There was Regulus but he seems shorter and younger. There also seems to be another man with about shoulder length hair with no mustache unlike his wanted poster and much younger. But he was clearly taller making it clear as to which sibling was older. Sirius was packing his things in what seemed to be in a hurry.

Sirius: "I'm done. I'm done with all of this-this house, these people, this whole family. It's nothing but poison. I'm leaving, Regulus"

Regulus: "You're making a mistake, Sirius. This is who we are. This is our blood, our legacy. You can't just walk away from it." Regulus says behind Sirius and sounded as if he were trying to convince Sirius to stay or rethink about what he was about to do.

Sirius: "Our legacy? You mean the legacy of hatred and fear? You call that family? You call them my blood? I don't care about any of this, Reg. I'm not staying here for their pure-blood nonsense. I'm not going to sit around while they pretend Voldemort is the answer." He snaps with anger in his voice.

Regulus: "You don't understand. The dark lord is our salvation. He's the one who will put things right. You just don't have the strength to see it." This is what he must of been like when he was a follower of Voldemort when he was trying to become one at least.

Sirius: "Strength? What, you think following a madman gives you strength? Reg, you're just following orders. I thought you were better than that." He laughed bitterly. I wondered what he meant by orders or perhaps it was the orders given to Regulus by his parent or some death eater trying to help him become one.

Regulus: "You think you're better than me because you're running away? I'm doing what's right for the family. I'm doing what's right for us. You're just running off to be a rebel. You'll see this world doesn't work without power. You'll learn that sooner or later." At first Regulus seemed hurt by the words of his brother but he quickly hid his emotions.

Sirius: "I'd rather be nothing than live like you. I'm not going to serve anyone. I don't care about power if it means losing my soul." He turns to face Regulus with anger and pain mixed in his voice. It made me realize how right Regulus when he said Sirius would never harm me or Harry. It was because Sirius never served Voldemort like the rumors would say and perhaps he never did betray Lily and James.

Regulus: "I don't want to lose you, Sirius. You're my brother. But I can't follow you down this path. I can't just...abandon everything we've been taught." His voice held a hint of sadness.

Sirius: "I'm not abandoning you, Reg I'm trying to save myself. I'll never belong here. But you...you don't have to do this. You don't have to be this. I don't want to see you turn into them." His voice soft and the whole conversation was enough to make me hurt. I couldn't even imagined speaking like this with Harry. I couldn't even imagined going out separate ways.
