The day for the Yule Ball was fast approaching as many people were getting partners. During those days I knew that Harry and Ron were struggling to find a partner to go with. I sat on the bed deciding not to wander off at night at least for the last few days. Pansy came in rushing, "Guess who I'm going to the Yule Ball with." "Hmm, Blaise?" I said pretending like I didn't know but I knew it was going to be Draco. Although I knew Draco didn't like how clingy she was and often complained I knew he wasn't going to go to the Yule Ball without a partner. The only option he really had was Pansy. "What, nooo. I'm going with Draco Malfoy of course." She flips her hair over her shoulder.
"Oh really? I didn't see that coming. So who asked who out exactly?" I smiled. "Well you know Draco isn't the type to ask directly, but I made sure he knew I was available." She laughed but also sounded rather pleased with herself. "Well, everyone knows he'd look ridiculous if he didn't have a date." She continued as I nodded, "Oh yes. Can't have a Malfoy looking pathetic. He has a reputation to uphold."
"Exactly. And don't think I'm going to be the only one with a date. You'd be a fool to miss out." "It sounds like you and Draco will be the center of attention." She grins at my comment, "Oh, you'll see. We'll look perfect together." "I'm sure it'll be a sight to uphold."
"You bet it will. What about you? Has anyone asked you out? Or did Theodore Nott already ask you out?" "Theodore? I haven't spoken to him in a long time..." Theodore was the silent type and usually was by himself. He never did get himself involved in our group. "Well, I've got him staring at you." "Hmm well anyway I already have a date. I'm going with Fred Weasley."
"Wait—what? You're going with him." She looked me up and down as I smiled at her reaction. "Yes, Fred. He asked me the other day." "Fred Weasley? Of all people? I mean I suppose you would have a thing for the reckless type." "I don't see why not. Besides I like his sense of humor, he makes me laugh and smile." "Well, I suppose it is your choice. Oh right, I almost forget to give you this." Pansy disappeared for a moment, and shortly after she appeared with a package.
"This is for you." "For me?" "Yes, it has your name on it. I'm not too sure where it came from though." She says as she hands me the pack. I unwrapped to find a little note inside. It had my name and written on it said, 'I hope you like this gift for you.' From -S.B.

It was an absolutely stunning dress with sparkles and what seemed to be stars on it. . . . . . . . It was already the day of the Yule Ball a I made sure to fix my hair in its loose curls and gently patted my dress. The dress had fit like a glove and was absolutely perfect and I wore a pair of heels not too tall but enough to walk without stumbling after practicing in them. I twirled as soon as Regulus appeared, "What do you think." He smiles looking proud, "You look lovely. Now you shouldn't be late. Run along now and have some fun will you." I smiled at his reply as I did exactly as he told me. "Oh and don't stay out too late!" He yelled back as I quickly left.
