Author POV
In Trisha’s bedroom, Edward silently analyzed the situation, his sharp mind piecing everything together. It became clear that Nick wasn’t the main attacker. He was merely a pawn, used by someone else to get closer to Amelia.
Namon, seething with anger, had already struck Nick, hoping to force some information out of him. But it was useless. Nick knew nothing about the real mastermind behind it all.
Edward pulled out his phone and made a call, his expression unreadable. After a brief conversation, he ended the call and turned to leave to go for Amelia. His men, following his silent command, grabbed the injured Nick and escorted him out of the room.
Now, with the chaos settling, only Namon and Trisha remained. A tense silence filled the space, heavy with unspoken words and emotions neither of them knew how to voice.
Trisha’s eyes fell on Namon’s injured fist. She wanted to tend to it, but Namon’s expression was clouded with anger.
“So many things happened, and you really didn’t care to tell me anything about it?” Namon’s voice was laced with hurt and frustration.
Trisha couldn’t bring herself to respond. She simply stood there, guilt pressing down on her chest.Namon took a step closer, his hands cupping her face gently. His eyes, usually filled with warmth, now held unshed tears. “Were you scared?” he asked softly.
Trisha’s throat tightened, and she nodded, tears slipping down her cheeks. Overwhelmed, she threw her arms around him, burying her face in his shoulder. “Nick… he- he did that in front of my eyes- with Anaya- and I couldn’t do anything… I couldn’t help her.. Amon” she sobbed.
Namon held her tighter, his chin resting on her shoulder as her tears dampened his shirt. He wished he could take away her pain, wished none of this would have happened.
A few minutes later, Trisha sat beside him, carefully bandaging his injured hand. The silence between them was softer now, filled with unspoken comfort.
As soon as she finished, Namon pulled her into another embrace, seeking warmth in her presence. But this time, Trisha stopped him, pressing her hands against his chest which upset Namon.
Trisha wrinkled her nose playfully. “You smell sweaty Amon”
A small, amused smile tugged at his lips. He was desperate to hear 'Amon' from her and after so many times which felt like a eternity, she finally called him. Without hesitation, he caught her wrist and pulled her close. “I don’t mind Isha”
Trisha sighed, shaking her head. “But I do.”They both smiled, though there was a lingering sadness behind it.
Namon gave her hand a reassuring squeeze. “About Anaya and her sister… don’t worry. Edward will handle everything.”Trisha nodded, trusting his words, though the weight of that night still clung to her heart.
Just then, Kelly and Avi rushed into the room. Trisha immediately stepped away from Namon, standing up as they hurried toward her. Kelly and Avi wrapped Trisha in a tight hug, their concern evident.
“Mr. Edward told me everything! What the hell, Trisha? Why didn’t you tell me about this?!” Avi scolded, his voice laced with both worry and frustration. “So this is why you weren’t coming home anymore?”
Before Trisha could answer, Avi made his decision. “You’re coming with me right now.”
Trisha sighed. “Brother, this has nothing to do with that… I just wanted to give you privacy.”“Safety matters more than privacy Trisha” Kelly interjected, Her gaze then landed on Namon, and she frowned slightly.
“I’m not letting you stay here for another moment” Avi declared, his tone final.
“Fine, fine, calm yourself,” Trisha relented, shaking her head at her brother
