53. Protecting her

Heartbroken, she was returning to the Brown house from her school. When Amelia reached the Brown house, Uncle Will was not there, leaving her alone in the house. She was feeling hungry but found nothing to eat. She went up to her room, waiting for Uncle Will to return. By nightfall, little Amelia heard Uncle Will calling her. As she stepped out of her room, she heard him order her to bring him a glass. She quickly brought him a glass of water. Mr Will, visibly drunk, frowned at her.

"I told you to bring a glass, not a glass of water!" he snapped throwing water at her. He grabbed her little chin.

"Because of you I have to marry that Bitch!" He said frustration boiling inside him
"I didn't do anything" Amelia cried

"You didn't do anything?? Except you nobody knew about it! You liar!" Uncle Will slapped her, making her fall on the floor, He took out his leather belt and started hitting her.

Little Amelia was unaware of the scarry night that was coming ahead. After Maya and her son & daughter came in the house. Initial days were normal, everything was going fine until Maya showed her real colors. Started throwing away Amelia things, giving her valuable dresses, accessories and even her room to Jenna. Maya made her stay in the store room.

Amelia turned 13, she couldn't go out except attending classes. Once they all returned from an event. Will, who was agitated because he couldn't get an important deal and Amelia mistake fueled his anger when she accidentally broke a glass while taking it back from Uncle room.

"What the hell are you doing huh?!" Will shouted making her startled.
"S-sorry uncle" Amelia apologised but it didn't helped her.
Will slapped Amelia, Maya was in Jenna room while Nick was in his. Nobody could hear her screams, she couldn't walk due to the pain. Her vision were blurry because of the tears.

Horrible days were passing by, she couldn't share this pain of hers with anyone. Soon Nick's behaviour towards her also changed. He started hitting on Amelia despite knowing she is an underage girl.

It was late at night, and Amelia was alone, as everyone had gone out to attend a function. Suddenly, the lights went off, plunging the house into darkness. Amelia fumbled around, trying to find a flashlight. But before she could locate one, a hand suddenly grabbed her waist pushing her to Nick's room, he started forcing himself on her but she resisted when his attempts failed he choosed wrong ways.

Amelia slapped Nick really hard, this angered Nick to do what Mr Will does, hit her with belt. Due to dark, she couldn't find ways to go out of his room, she found a door, it was his room washroom. She locked herself in. Nick tried to break the door but he himself got hurt.

Amelia cried hard that night. And when they all returned, Maya found Amelia in his son's room washroom. She thought Amelia is seducing Nick and abused her. For her, that house turned into a place no less than a hell, where all she hear was taunts, verbal and sexual abuse, violence with no mercy. She didn't even know for what mistake was she getting punishment about crushing her deeply.

She gets more scared when it turns dark night, fearing that Nick would again take advantage of this dark, and take advantage of her forcefully.

Since Amelia ran away for the first time, involving police officer. Nick and Will stopped hitting her, her scars healed with passing years but not the ones that carved in her heart. Mr Will neither let her die nor let her live peacefully.
